Sorry for typo, title meant to say any not and.

I am hosting a bbq and have 3 vegetarian/2 vegan guests coming.
I would love some ideas of dishes you recommend/would want at a bbq.
please note yes I do have a separate one to cook on for them but also am happy to cook in the oven if needed.
Ive cooked for them before but want something a bit more exciting than veggie sausages!(unless they want them of course).

Do you know if they like 'meaty' things? Some veggies do and some don't.
If they do then Richmond meat free sausages are AMAZING! Even the meat eaters will like them. Linda McCartney mozzerella burgers are delicious for veggies who like meaty things too.

You sound like a great friend for putting so much thought into it.

The "This Isn't" sausages are incredible

Oh also OP if they do like meaty things there's some amazing meat free chicken that is soo yummy it would be amazing BBQ-d. The vegetarian butcher chicken breasts and vivera chicken breasts.

They're not really. They taste like cheap meat sausages with a slightly funny aftertaste.

Because if your're cooking, these spicy burgers sound completely insane, but are delicious-trust me!. A bit tricky to barbecue, but really easy in the oven. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/bombaypattyyburgers12692

They look brilliant! I might try them out this summer. Thanks for the link.

Hellmans Vegan mayonnaise is indistinguishable from the standard stuff so use it in all coleslaw and potato salad instead of making separate ones

mindutopia · 14/05/2024 10:45

Halloumi, grilled veg (portobellos would be nice) and I quite like the Richmond vegetarian sausages. Also nice salads. And enough for the meat eaters too because they will also want to eat those things.

I've found Hellmans vegan mayo can "split" it gets a layer of oil on top, when it's warm but the Sainsbury's one doesn't.
I also would not eat a Richmond sausage 🤢
