I have M.E and spend a lot of time ‘having a rest’ with a podcast.

Can anyone recommend any podcasts similar to Redhanded, bad people and Mr Ballen?

True crime or general weirdness?

Morbid, Casefile, After Dark, Bad Women, Crime Junkie, Seeing Red, They Walk Amongst Us, Lady Killers.

Casefile is one of the best for true crime. Very factual - no overarching opinions on the cases and no American style 'he was pure evil' comments.
Just well laid out reporting of cases.
I've just binge listened to The Rest is History which was amazing. In particular the battle of Trafalgar.
Real Dictators is interesting. Quite full on for obvious reasons.

Ah yes, Bad Women and Lady Killers are both very good.

Scamfluencers is good and relatively "light", as is British Scandal. American Scandal has some really interesting cases but less of the humour. Serial is obviously a classic for a reason. Then there's lots of series looking a t one case in depth, of which Hunting Warhead is probably the best one I've heard.

I like Mr Ballens medical mysteries - is the main pod as good?

I recently listened to Carrie Jade doesn't exist and I was hooked! Definitely worth a listen.

Oh yes Fairy Meadow was good and Parenting Hell is hilarious (I only didn't mention it as it didn't fit the OP's theme).

If you like general knowledge too OP then Stuff You Should Know is excellent. Two American presenters but not nearly as overexcited and grating as some. There's also No Such Thing As A Fish from the people who do QI.

Not sure if it fits into your 'weird' theme but I enjoy Betwixt The Sheets which is ultimately social history but sex and scandal specific.

I don’t like mr Ballens main pod as much as the medical mysteries or his YouTube channel because I think it’s become pretty same-y-

It’s always a murder, and the way he tells it I can generally work out the killer from the first 5 minutes.

I have literally seen/heard every single thing he has put out though, so it might just be over exposure!
