PS I love the middle bit. Dad used to call it the nut of the cabbage. See also broccoli middle.

And from my diminishing memory we ate a lot of cottage pie - at least twice a week!

Technically I was an older teen but Twiglets, Worcester sauce flavour.

Younger than that, Spicy Tomato Wheat Crunchies
Bread and margarine with sugar.

An orange Club for break time at one point. Why it was only the orange one I have no idea.

Golden Wonder cheese n onion.
10p mix (shrimp, flying saucers, fruit salad, blackjacks, penny chews).
Cream crackers or rich tea with butter.

My mum baked a lot too.

In my dreams Tangy Toms, Salt and Vinegar McCoys, Frosties (the cola sweets), lemon bonbons and coconut ice. A 99 with a flake or lemon and lime calippo shots.

In my reality digestive biscuits, ready salted supermarket crisps, an apple, maybe an iced bun if we stopped by the bakers or some raisins or piece of liquorice. A choc ice or homemade orange juice lolly from the freezer.
