We've never voted before in these elections but will this time as it's time for Mr Khan to GO!!!

London's crime rate has shot up and it is time we had a new mayor, anyone other than Sadiq Khan

Sadiq Khan has 'completely lost control' of London's streets, say families of victims

Shock figures reveal 38% increase in knife offences since Mayor took office

Having spent some time with people I wouldn't normally socialise with yesterday 😬 I fear Khan might be in trouble. They were all saying 'Khan out', that everyone they know is voting for Hall, and talking about how the ULEZ zone is being expanded and they'll be paying thousands a year (they won't).

People in London need to go out and vote for Khan... I sense another Brexit shock.

Anyone wavering do vote for Susan Hall tomorrow (who is certainly not a liar and is a very good person). It is time for a change - Khan has had 2 terms already. It is time for a woman. Even if you normally vote Labour give Susan Hall a chance. she is also the only candidate who can unseat Khan so if you are thinking of some other obscure party instead of her like the Greens etc choose Susan Hall instead.

Try to vote as early as possible tomorrow so you don't forget. Every vote counts. Even if you think Khan is sure fire likely to win do vote.

Don't forget your driving licence, passport or other ID tomorrow in order to vote.

I knew without even needing to open the thread who would have started this one!

But yes, three crosses for Labour on my ballot paper.

Same

Evidence?? I thought not!!

What does

Evidence?? I thought not!!

mean, when you don't give the person a chance to post evidence?

Like your mind is closed?

Evidence is in her daily speech amd affiliations. Shes abhorrent

ANutAsBigAsABoulder · 01/05/2024 17:40

0/10 for Conservative Central Office OP. If the Conservative government hadn’t starved the police and councils of funding, policing and services that support people not to get into crime in the first place might have helped keep those numbers down. Just a thought!

Count Binface for me. He (or she) is going to ban loud snacks in theatres and speakerphones on public transport.

"time for a woman" - looked at it like that, no thank you as the dangerously incompetent Truss is still a very vivid memory and millions are paying thousands per household in mortgage fees and other price hikes

However, ignoring the above To me, anyone other than Mr Khan is better be it man, "woman" or donkey as long as they sort out the staggering crime figures and help those most affected by ULEZ and not waste Londers hard earned cash on pathetic bo car zones and the ridiculous 20mph on main roads.

ULEZ has royally fucked us over and cost us a lot

However, it was Grant Shapps who instigated it and Khan had no choice but to implement

He also brought in free school meals

I’m not his biggest fan, he can be quite stroppy, but it’s be a cold day in hell before I vote for that fucking lying Tory cunt Hall

I’ve met him a few times and I can tell you that he’s assertive and dynamic but a lot of people misinterpret that as being ‘stroppy’ when it’s not the case at all

Personally I think the plans for the Thames bosses to take a dip in the Thames makes it worth voting for binface !

FatArse123 · 01/05/2024 17:48

I am happily voting for Sadiq. I support ULEZ. Who wants to breathe poisonous air? It's amazing that we put up with it at all.

Having been on the receiving end of some of his correspondence it was most definitely on the stroppy side 😂

Glad he’s different in person though

nongnangning · 01/05/2024 17:55

Khan

I can see why he is perceived that way as if that’s your only contact with him and he’s let’s say, in an assertive frame of mind it does come across like that ! I think it’s more of a case of he focuses on things intently and takes the quickest route to a solution and it can come across as abrupt

JosiePosey · 01/05/2024 18:15

🙏 🤞 hoping ulez is the nail in his fucking coffin.

Good

I'm certainly not voting for him

suburburban · 01/05/2024 18:19

He can't be trusted and it will be pay per mile if he gets another term

avocadotofu · 01/05/2024 18:20

Yes and I'll be voting for Khan.

skippy67 · 01/05/2024 18:23

I couldn't ever vote for Susan Hall. Ever. I'm a bit bored of Khan though, so will probably vote Green.

suburburban · 01/05/2024 18:26

No not at all

Hélène79 · 01/05/2024 18:29

Khan. He doesn't always get it right, but he's the most able out of all of them and the best for the city. Susan Hall is a danger IMO and certainly not the right person for mayor. We already had 8 years of a racist twat before Khan, we don't need another. Especially one that doesn't seem to know her arse from her elbow.

minipie · 01/05/2024 18:38

Yes to Khan if only to keep Susan Hall out.

I’m also quite keen on cleaner air.

Agree that crime increase is due to underlying issues like CoL. It happens in every economic downturn.

The previous Mayor spent more time 'bonding over a love of Shakespeare' than doing the job.

The Tory 2021 Mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey was not great, but was a hundred times better than Susan Hall.
