Interesting jacket potato toppings

I WFH and so bored of the same meals every lunch. I am fortunate to have a Tesco local nearby so can pop in for a meal deal, etc etc.

Today went in and got 10 large baking potato’s for £1!!! I batch cooked them in the oven, and now have many jacket potato’s to reheat…

So what’s your fav “interesting” jacket potato topping.

today I had cottage cheese with chives, and tomorrow it’s tuna and cheese. Not very interesting!

As long as the jacket is crispy as hell doesn’t matter what’s inside…

Tuna crunch. Tuna with red onion and diced peppers added in.

Curious as to how you've stored these? We recently got a chest freezer and doing this would be great but unsure how to store and reheat

• Bacon, sour cream, guacamole and some hot sauce
• Boursin, smashed avocado and Jalapeños
• Baked beans, cheese and Branston
• Brie and cranberry sauce

Mushrooms in a peppercorn sauce is great on a spud. It's also really good over garlic bread.

Egg mayo and bacon. Trust me.

We store them either in the fridge or freeze them and then re-heat in the microwave (5 mins straight from frozen works)

My choices would be
Cheese beans and coleslaw,
Cheese and prawn in Marie Rose sauce, egg mayo, but done with salad cream instead of mayonnaise, tuna and sweetcorn and the other one is scoop out the potato. Mash it together with corned beef and sweetcorn and top with grated cheese and grill until the cheese is bubbly

We like cottage cheese and crispy bacon

It's a classic - some would argue boring - but get your baked potato, slather in decent butter, grind on the salt and pepper, add some decent cheese (Applewood smoked cheddar) and load on a ton of spaghetti hoops. Do it.

Ha just spotted this, yeah I like them really crispy so it’s a commitment to put the oven on for that long for just the 1.

You can buy frozen backed potato’s from the supermarket, but they are almost £1 per potato and totally bonkers!

Yes they do, I warm one in the micro for 3 minutes and then pop it back in the oven for 10 to crisp up (the micro makes sure the centre gets piping hot)

Don't hate me until you try it but if you like seafood then seafood cocktail is my favourite 😍

French onion soup.

Sounds weird - but bloody delicious.

Mush I cooked fish fingers with mayo peas cheese and the inside of the spud. Mix it all up and back in the skin with cheese on top and under the grill
