Gaslight because how many people use this term without having watched the actual 1944 film? I saw it many years ago long before the popular usage of “gaslighting” and remember how disturbing I found it.

kublacant · 27/04/2024 13:29

The Wizard of Oz
The Killing Fields
A room with a view

MarmiteyCrumpets · 27/04/2024 13:55

Double Indemnity,
All About Eve,
Fargo,

It’s a great movie.

Screenplay by writer Patrick Hamilton who had two narcissistic parents. His novels usually feature at least one narcissistic character.

Love Gladiator. DH and I have a tradition of watching on earth year.

He was in a pub a few weeks back and overheard some young people discussing it and one guy said "yea - I do T get what the fuss is about. Joaquin Phoenix is so overrated ". DH just shook his head in that way Old Men do Grin

The Color Purple - 1985 version

Blackcats7 · 27/04/2024 14:59

@kublacant agree The Killing Fields. When I watched this not long after it first came out here my then husband (very emotional man) was in tears and I was in silent shock.
