Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just making my first cup of tea of the day & about to put the washer on. Haven't decided whether I'll drink it out in the garden yet - it looks nice out there but it's been cold still. Everyone else is still sleeping so it's nice and peaceful to start the day 😊

There are lots of little things I want to do today - the outline of the customisation on a couple of t-shirts for our Eras Tour night, help dd2 sort under her bed, shift the last of the tools into the new tool box rather than several boxes under the sink. If there's time I'll write a list of things we still need for the kittens and sort my online Tesco too.

Dd1's working at 2pm so she'll probably spend the day chilling before then & I'll check how much of the A-level Law paper homework she did last night. Not sure what time she'll be finishing until she gets there so will transfer taxi money in case it's late.

Dd2 thinks she's off out with a friend for a couple of hours once we've done under her bed (or at least part of it!). She did her English homework last night so only has Maths to do.

I'm off to a friends for drinks and takeaway later on so just dd2 and her dad for tea. They'll probably order takeaway pizza too.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I've had two coffees and toast and tea so I'm all ready to face the day (by lying on the couch, scrolling here and watching Gardeners World). A quick hoover and bathroom clean ahead. Then I might do a bit of weeding. Dgs1 is coming for a sleepover later and there will be much "grandma, look at this," ahead. Stovies for me for dinner, noodles for him. Enjoy your day.

I’m off to work shortly. DH is hungover and going to cricket, DS1 is also playing cricket and captain for the first time 😊 DS2’s cricket is off and DD is in bed after a night shift.
We’Re having takeaway later for an early birthday get together for me before DS2 goes back to uni. My lovely colleague is kindly holding the on call for me so I can have a wine 🍷🥳

Good morning all, just having some tea & porridge before I get ready to walk my friend's dog in the drizzle 😢. Later this afternoon I'm playing badminton with Dd2 then we're going out for tea. Not much else planned atm__

It was our wedding anniversary this week, so today we’re going to an aquarium/butterfly park/petting zoo, so we’re celebrating by being moaned at all day and being nagged for naff crap from the gift shop, the height of romance. We’re also being tight arses and taking pack up, but last time we went it was £15 for a kids meal!

This evening I’ve got some of the rugby guys coming over for food and beer before our rugby social. So I’ll need to do a bit of tidying before we go out for the day.

DP has gone to get his haircut so I've been lying on the sofa with a tea watching DD8 play with DD1 teaching her how to go down her little wooden slide we got in the Aldi baby event on Thursday. They're at an age where they can play together for short periods so I can have a quick shower etc now. The baby will go down for her nap at 11sh and then this afternoon we're dropping the girls at my parents and going out for lunch for DP's birthday on Tuesday with some friends. Then we'll get the girls back and probably have a bottle of wine tonight and watch a film.

Good morning all! The kids are building a new Lego set. DH has gone to do the food shop which i normally do. I am watching Below Deck whilst sorting the clean laundry. We are having a rest today. My main aim is to clean and repot my late mum’s Monstera that I inherited. It’s about 25years old and looking a bit sad at the moment.

Good morning everyone, I'm just contemplating getting up and starting the day. I stayed up late watching the Queens Gambit last night, already watched it but had another look and got engrossed again! It's nice weather here (NW) so gonna get as much washing out as possible (how exciting). Yesterday I bought some nice pecan nut pastries as a treat for breakfast and I can hear them calling to me from the kitchen but I also know ds, who is home from uni, has been cooking late last night so I'll go down to a sink full of dirty pots, which isn't really encouraging me to get out of bed! I'm heading over to elderly FILs this afternoon to do some shopping and cleaning for him, then I plan a night in front of the telly, BGT, One %Club and probably rest of Queens Gambit. Dinner (or Tea up North) will be pork pie, crisps and sandwiches, I do a big roast, wine etc on a Sunday so Saturday is very casual. Anyway, better go and face those pots, enjoy your weekend everyone!

DS woke me super early. So had a cup
of tea while playing. I’ve hung washing up, loaded the dishwasher and fed the cats.

Having a seat outside for a few mins then will get ready for the day. We are visiting friends this afternoon.

Quiet night planned tonight as working alll day tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. It’s bright and sunny here but still a bit cold. Everyone in the house has the day off today but I think the sun has woken everyone early. Me and dh were up by 6.30am, dd9 woke at 8 and dd19 woke up at 9. Just dd16 asleep (I think).

I’ve not much housework to do, just one more load of laundry and that’s it and I’ve put the Tesco delivery away (it was bloody huge this week too as we had ran out of everything at the same time!).

I need to pop out and pick up the cat food for the month and need to re-do dd9’s passport photo as they’ve decided they’re not going to accept the one I originally uploaded despite the website saying it was good. Oh well.

Dh and dd16 plan to carry on digging up the back garden today as it’s dry outside and he wants it finished today so we can get the skip collected. I’ll probably be roped into helping too.

Tonight is Swedish meatballs, mash and gravy for tea then maybe a film and a glass of wine before bed.

Just been for my lovely sunny morning walk. Now having cappucino.
About to attack the master suite for a thorough clean then get ready to go shopping for DD2 school shoes and I need to take a pair of jeans back to M&S. Plus need some birthday cards/bits from Superdrug - I’ve ran out of cleanser 😱
Then we’ll visit my Dad and after that I’ll drop DD1 off at her friend’s for a sleepover.
I’m out tonight for a lovely meal with friends. DH and DD2 will have pizza probably and watch a film.
Will be quite a hectic day but I’m not planning on leaving the house tomorrow - need a major declutter/organisation so that’s for tomorrow.

I'm currently having a coffee while the second load of washing is drying. I've already done some ironing and polished the school shoes so feel like I'm winning (for now anyway!).

Swimming in a bit and then more tidying and cleaning. And I WILL carve out some time for myself and sit with my book!

Good morning everyone, it’s been bucketing down here, it’s cold and drizzly now.
i’ve been to the garden centre for a climbing rose, a big pot, compost and fertiliser, I was the third car there but the place was heaving when I left it.
So, dog walk, empty all my purchases from the car, pot up a couple of rose bushes and then sit and do very little I think!

Good Morning all. I have climbed back into bed, dropped DS off at the train station first thing as he is heading up to Leeds for a rave tonight (oh to be young again!). DD is at Uni and I have my lovely Mum here for the weekend having a rest (she still works FT at 70 and it was the first anniversary of my Dads death last week so she is having a well earned break) so lots of cups of tea and a bit of gardening. Looking overcast here in Shropshire but hopefully the rain will stay away until tonight at least.

DD was up at silly o clock and was dropped off at stable club a couple of hours ago. I've had breakfast, tidied up, put a load of washing in and sorted the kittens (they're 9 months old now, can I still call them kittens?!) DH has vanished upstairs to do something.

I need to take some dresses back to Next that I don't want, find a cream cropped jacket to go with the dress I do want, and pop to M&S to pick up some burgers for tea. Will go and watch DD ride later then home for hopefully an early night with Casualty and the rubbish we're currently watching on Netflix!

Been inspired to stick the coffee pot and school shirts on.

Wet whole weekend here and need to drag teenagers out into the woods so wish me luck!

I hexed myself by announcing last night that I was going to sleep until I woke and have a super chilled morning … so, I was awake at 5am!
Spot of gardening to do and DDog needs a decent walk. Later, hopefully dinner prepared by DP and wine :-)

Woke up to the sounds of a cat fight on the landing - neighbourhood cat had got in through the bathroom window. My two giant cats are terrified of this tiny thing. I got back into bed and they are both now lying on me, presumably for protection.
A level anxiety is huge here so will be doing whatever very stressed DD needs. Suspect she'll have had enough by late afternoon so will suggest the pub or a meal to chill for a bit.

A bit of a mad rush this morning. First load of washing in then went to Parkrun. Felling like I'm almost back to my pre injury state.
Off to meet a friend now for an early lunch and catch up.
Later need to pick up some final bits for my holiday next weekend.

We’re not going anywhere today as I’ve got a mock exam to do and need to catch up with housework. A lovely fresh loaf waiting for lunch with pickled herrings.
Fish fingers, big salad, coleslaw and chips for dinner.

Morning lucysmam & everyone. Eventually got up just before 10 but don’t really feel refreshed as I kept drifting in & out of sleep. I was awake in the night with bowel cramps & at one point I thought I was going to be sick but it passed. I’m taking painkillers with codeine atm & they do tend to make me constipated ( sorry if tmi!)
Unloaded & loaded the dishwasher & put a load of washing in the tumble dryer. It was sunny earlier but grey & drizzling now. Just finished a cuppa. Off out to see a show this afternoon which I’m looking forward to. DH is only working a couple of hours so will be around when DD15 returns from her GF’s. Nice easy tea of sausages, chips & eggs or beans. Watching BGT & The 1% Club tonight.

Morning all, I love reading your thread, it's s gentle, even if everyone isn't having the best of days.

I've got a new routine of cleaning the house on a friday so that it's nice for the weekend and I don't use any of my weekend doing chores, so it was nice to wake up to it this morning, but I got a little too merry last night so was feeling a little sorry for myself when I woke up early after a poor night's sleep! I got the gym early though, then home for a big bowl of one of my favourite breakfasts - sauteed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes with scrambled eggs over a bed of salted and peppered basmati rice with a ton of dark soy sauce.

My plans are cancelled, which I'm kind of grateful for, and I will probably take a nap and then hopefully finish a sewing project.

I've just finished brunch (avocado on toast, 50gr smoked salmon, egg, bunch of tomatoes and tea - yes I'm on a diet )! My DD has gone to help out with the open day at her college. Walked the dogs (why is it still so damp and chilly)?
So, what I really should do next is go to O2 shop to sort a contract out. I went yesterday but their system was down. Guy suggested I call customer service but that means hanging on the phone for over an hour. But it's Saturday and it will be crowded so I'm tempted to wait til Monday!
I'm going away for a few days next week and I know I sound like a teenager but goal today is to clean my room! Huge pile of clothes sitting in top of my chest of drawers and two overnight bags on the floor and some wrapped up framed photos that were living in the guest bedroom til I had, um, a guest.
Dinner tonight is a rice/beef stir fry type thing. DD and I have been watching the Jason Bourne movies so might be number 4 tonight.
Oh and I must send my postal ballot in!

DH is away for the weekend, so I had a couple of friends round last night for gin, wine, and a catch-up. It was lovely but has led to a bit of a slow start today.

DS is taking a friend to the football as his dad is away. I'm going to do a bit in the garden.
My mum is coming over later, so I can do some admin for her, and we'll all have a Chinese takeaway. Chilled day.

DD has gone to her river tours job, briefly saying before she left I never realised I had so many clothes, they have taken over my room and are now expanding into the corridor outside my room, I will deal with it but not now.

DH is getting a haircut.

DH and I are going to drinks, 3 course dinner and art gallery tour tonight with people from my old university. I am still dizzy from the vaccines I had mid week and last night decided to go swimming which has only made it worse so will be not doing the drinks part. 😂Not sure why I thought swimming would help.

Just had tea and a shortbread so far. Will have lunch when DH is back.
