Mine are interesting. There blue-green and have been since I was 1. I’m 63 now. Most people think there green until they get up close. I get a compliment once a week on my eye colour. Some people put blue on my ID others put Green.

Mine are brown.

I've experimented with contact lenses in various different colours and none of them suited me - after a day I was desperate for my brown eyes back!

I think it's because brown eyes have depth and the darker colour stands out more, whereas when they were lighter they just seemed to disappear into my face (if that makes any kind of sense!).

DP has blue eyes and I like them on him, but I would kind of like to try some brown contacts on him to see whether or not I prefer them! 😂

Me too. I love green eyes and tried green contact lenses over my already blue-green eyes. They looked so weird, like something was ‘off’ with my face even though they were just one degree along a spectrum iyswim.

I have light blue eyes and I love them. I always get comments on them. They are the only feature I like about myself.

I was secretly hoping dc would have my colour eyes but they don't

autumn1610 · 25/04/2024 18:33

Dark blue eyes, I do like them. Have quiet a few compliments recently, never thought much about them until I was on dating apps and got told a few times they were mesmerising, which was nice

BatshitCrazyWoman · 25/04/2024 18:38

Bluey grey and they take on the colour of whatever I'm wearing. If I wear something purple-y they have a sort of lilac tinge, if I wear teal, they have a greenish one. I like them 🙂

poshfrock · 25/04/2024 18:40

I have dark brown and I didn't like them much growing up, I always wanted blue. But they have aged pretty well and not lost their depth as I have got older like some eyes do ( I'm in my 50s). I also recently found out that brown is the rarest colour in the UK apparently ;only 22% have brown eyes so now I really appreciate them. And the man in my life thinks they are gorgeous, which helps 😁

wheredidthesungonow · 25/04/2024 18:44

Same. I have brown eyes and never wished they were lighter. It’s really sad that brown eyes are the least desirable.

I always wanted brown eyes, I love looking into brown eyes, there're so warm and friendly.
I have cold grey eyes, but I am friendly.

Tontostitis · 25/04/2024 18:49

Blue with a brown flash in one I've honestly never thought about them and could barely describe my friends or families eyes but I'm pretty short sighted.

LindorDoubleChoc · 25/04/2024 18:51

Bog standard blue. I'd like them more if they could see better.

Compsearch · 25/04/2024 18:57

Light blue/grey - boring! But they suit me and my very pale complexion (which I love).

Dearg · 25/04/2024 19:03

Green. My best feature.

I have red hair and freckled skin. It’s nice to have eyes that take the focus off my freckles.

tinytemper66 · 25/04/2024 19:04

Blue and they are one of my best features

fettybord · 25/04/2024 19:18

Green. Yes I do like them

Fink · 25/04/2024 19:20

Hazel. They're ok, but I would prefer brown. Everything else about my colouring is Mediterranean, and then the eyes are lighter. Everyone assumes I have brown eyes anyway, so it would be nice if I really did. I definitely couldn't be bothered with surgery to change them though!

Cloclo93 · 25/04/2024 19:21

Blue/orange.. I like them apart from been slightly blind

Amazing how many people have green or hazel eyes considering it's not that common

I thought that too. Seems to be quite a lot of people on this thread with green eyes, myself included.

Maybe we're more likely to come on a thread saying we like them, since they're unusual. I will admit to being a little bit proud of having them, even though I was born with them. (Well born with blue, but you know what I mean!)

anonymous98 · 25/04/2024 19:45

Brown, and no. I also inherited the "dead behind the eyes" look my dad's family have.

whatthehellnow23 · 25/04/2024 20:20

Darkest brown... I like them. Interesting though I tend to favour green eyes in partners!

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 25/04/2024 21:55

Green eyes but would love my son's colour which is blue as think blue eyes with black hair so lovely.

Evanna13 · 25/04/2024 22:08

I have blue eyes, they are often complimented. Blue is my favourite colour so I like that I suit wearing blue as it does bring out the blue in my eyes.
I love brown eyes too.

Amazing how many people have green or hazel eyes considering it's not that common

Maybe it's because there's no one-word colour that easily describes a lot of people's eye colour. I said hazel, but what I've actually got is a thin dark brown ring around the edges, and a mix of light brown and green flecks over the rest. They look brown from a distance and in darker light, hazel/ light brown from closer up and in brighter light, and if you really stare you see that they're a blend of brown and green. So I said hazel, because it's the only one word that sums all of that up. I haven't looked closely at most people's eyes, but I would think that a blended or in-betweeny colour might be relatively common.

Dominicains · 25/04/2024 23:15

my eyes are a weird mid blue but depending on the light, can look very bright electric blue (snow does this) or almost navy - I like them as just a whisk of black eyeliner and mascara makes them really stand out as I’m very pale when my rosacea is in under control.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 25/04/2024 23:47

Mine are deep blue, almost navy. I love them. I also have long eyelashes, with a slight curl. The eyelashes frequently get commented on, often with disbelief when I say they aren’t fake.

MidnightMeltdown · 25/04/2024 23:57

@NewMe2024 Yes, I think that almost everyone has the eye colour that suits them best. Mother Nature just seems to know what works with your skin tone!

Personally I find contrasts particularly attractive though. I like brown eyes with blonde hair, and blue eyes with dark hair.

WestSussexWitch · 26/04/2024 00:06

I have brown eyes, fairly olive skin and blonde hair, white blonde when I was a child, I think I looked like a little alien but have grown to like my unusual colouring now, my daughter has the same, my son is hazel eyed and blond.

MuggedByReality · 26/04/2024 00:13

Bright blue, and yes I do like them. Objectively, they are probably my best feature and they have attracted compliments throughout my life.
