He is well known amongst those that have been advocating for peace and an end to the occupation as a head of an organisation that has very contentious views.

I agree with PP that everyone and especially Jewish people should feel safe and that there is a rise in antisemitism (which ironically has been fuelled by the actions of NuttinYahu's govt policies in OT EJ and Gaza) and more should be done.

I also believe GF has lied, there are sizeable Jewish blocs in the marches, with 'visibly Jewish people' so to speak, so he was trying to goad.

He got his 15 seconds of fame to probably deflect away from babies with blown up limbs and direct the whole Israel vs Hamas as anti-semitic. We really need to stop overusing that term and conflating it incorrectly because its meaning will diminish and that is v dangerous.

Antisemitism is a very very real concern but we need to be careful how we use it so we know how to spot it quickly.

Had this been years ago, he would have won, but the prevalence of social media now, and the time stamps and different angles that many get to see mean that people are not too quick to jump to conclusions.

I think we should be focusing on the bigger issue here- finding a political solution that is feasible for all involved in Israel/Palestine.

Jews are not responsible for AS. Antisemites are.

I'm still laughing at the idea of the people GF encountered being considered "advocates for peace" 😅

I know, lets make Jewish people wear a yellow star on their clothing to make it easier for the police. Hang on, that's been done before and didn't work out too well.

I really thought that we'd learned about the horrors of antisemitism, but it appears not. I really expected better from our Police force.

And why is it the responsibility of Jews here to halt the war in Gaza? I don't see anyone protesting about Gazans who live here. Why blame just one side? It takes 2 sides to make war.

I found the woman at the end of the video shouting that the reports about the mass rapes on October 7th had been completely debunked pretty shocking tbh. Her refusal to accept facts that she doesn't like is pretty out there, but there are plenty of people on this thread who will argue endlessly that this video doesn't show any antisemitism because...

People should just be honest. They insist there is no antisemitism from the protestors on the marches because they don't want it to be true. It's inconvenient to them.

I think she would have burst a blood vessel if someone had told her about the baby being put in an oven and the oven turned on.

What does the laws surrounding racial discrimination say when you have people shouting Shame on You or Scum at people just because they happen to be born from a certain race of people

What do you mean baby put in an oven? You aren't implying that that actually happened are you or are you talking about claims that have been debunked at this point?
