Tell us 'ow many you need and we'll get it sorted.

outside1inside · 16/04/2024 20:28

The only adult that doesn't is my high functioning autistic sister who uses and electric bike occasionally.

Waitingfordoggo · 16/04/2024 20:28

I’m sorry @Bluewallss. Hope you can have another try when you feel ready 💐

bakewellbride · 16/04/2024 20:28

Everyone except my MIL who has never had a single lesson yet still insists on giving me absolutely terrible driving advice every time I see her! I love her but the advice drives me insane.

Librarybooker · 16/04/2024 20:28

DH and I say we don’t drive, but we mean we don’t now and gave up doing so a long time ago.

BoobyDazzler · 16/04/2024 20:29

All of us except my 15 year old son.

User1979289 · 16/04/2024 20:29

all of us have a both a DL and a car! DD18, DS20, DH and me

ap1999 · 16/04/2024 20:30

Unless you live in a huge metropolitan area with excellent transportation links I cannot imagine why anyone would not prioritise learning to drive above holidays, bar crawls, nights out ..

Even my 'severely autistic' son (special school ) learned through the motability scheme and it changed his life ..

I also have a really good friend with spina bifider (wheel chair reliant ) .. has a gorgeous adapted Beetle with hand controls .. has been driving for 40 years..

Waitingfordoggo · 16/04/2024 20:30

Everyone in my extended family (and that includes a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins). And everyone in my husband’s extended family except his cousin’s wife who has had a few tries over the years but didn’t get to grips with it. She’s in her 60s now and I think she’s given up on it.

DS also doesn’t drive but is only 16.

PeaceOnThePorch · 16/04/2024 20:31

Bluewallss · 16/04/2024 20:24

Everyone, except me. I failed my test last week :(

Oh no! Don’t let it get you down though. Book another as soon as you can. 🤞

Lovelynames123 · 16/04/2024 20:31

In my wider family, not including under 17s, everyone apart from xsil...pretty much everyone I grew up with passed at 17/18 and had a car, or access to, I found it very odd when I went to uni and so many people couldn't drive!

HunterHearstHelmsley · 16/04/2024 20:32

All adults bar one.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 16/04/2024 20:32

My parents, DHs parents, DH, me, DB, SIL all drive. I'm one of 32 cousins who all have children of their own, some teenage (my parents are both from large Catholic families, mum has five siblings dad has/had eight) so I have no idea what the driving licence status is of all of them!

LifeExperience · 16/04/2024 20:32

Everyone. I'm American.

RaininSummer · 16/04/2024 20:33

Everybody over 18 including wider family.

Caffeineneedednow · 16/04/2024 20:33

Another one who depends on what you mean by family.

In my household only me and DP but the other 3 are kids.
Both my parents and my 3 siblings have licences. The vast majority of my further extended family ( whom are adults) also do but I have a big family so like 30 cousins and i aunts and uncles.

C1N1C · 16/04/2024 20:33

Everyone, but my cats are a nightmare behind the wheel.

BIossomtoes · 16/04/2024 20:35

All of us. I don’t know anyone without one.

BaconCozzers · 16/04/2024 20:35

All adults in my extended family (and DH's too), except one elderly aunt who never learned.

0psiedasiy · 16/04/2024 20:35

not children
Not 18 year old he is learning
Not my brother he lost it for dangerous driving/drug driving/driving without insurance (he a tw@t)

Dacadactyl · 16/04/2024 20:36

All the adults in my extended family can drive...aunts, uncles, cousins etc.

The only person who can't drive yet (but would be legally able to) is my DD17. Everyone older than that can drive.

Elephantswillnever · 16/04/2024 20:36

All the adults do. I always think it’s a life skill and you should learn unless you really can’t. In my job it’s really limiting not being able to drive as you will only really be working with someone else and most of the training/ promotion opportunities involve having a licence. I’m doing my HGV licence this year for example. It’s a requirement that management can do all jobs if necessary, even if they don’t day to day.

Kalevala · 16/04/2024 20:37

Who is my family? Do you mean household?

IntriguingFactJumble · 16/04/2024 20:38

Everyone except me, my mind and body don't work in a way that would let me learn how to do the physical bits and focus properly on the mental bits. I get where I need to go on buses, trains or by lifts/taxis. Is that OK? 😁

80skid · 16/04/2024 20:39

All adults except one and no one quite understands their refusal to drive. It may be that they enjoy being chauffeured around as they refuse to use public transport or taxis. Plus it means that they don't have to partake in usual household errands and responsibilities
