Holiday recommendations please, before my husband divorces me for taking too long to pick!

I need the hive mind help here! We've been looking for a holiday for a while now and I'm being indecisive and I need to go to my husband with ideas now because he can't be bothered with my faffing now!
Requirements are:
Not too long a flight (3hrs ish) as it is our kids first flight (DC ages 6 and 5).
Temperature in the mid to high 20s in June (backed out of booking gran canaria last night because average day time temps only 20degrees according to Google)
Near a beach (10 mins walk)
All inclusive with good options for fussy kids (don't care if they eat pizza every day as long as they can eat something!)
Able to walk to the town, marina, harbour, strip of restaurants etc. Don't need much but just a little something to do.
And the big one, hotel must have a great pool for kids including small to medium sized slides/splash park.
Plus ideally the kids will have a separate room within the hotel room to sleep in, don't mind if it's the living space and they are on sofa beds. We want to be able to put them to bed and sit on the balcony, not have to go to bed with them.
Oh and budget of up to £3k.

Any recommendations would be gratefully received! We haven't been abroad in around 8 years and it was not this difficult then when we only had ourselves to think of.

Royal Son Bou Menorca is always highly recommended on here. I’ve not been, but Menorca is my favourite place in the world.

I have been to Zafiro Menorca, which is great for kids. The beach might be slightly further than a 10min walk though.

TBH, I’d go anywhere in Menorca in June. It won’t be overly crowded, the flight is only just over 2 hours long, the beaches are amazing and so safe, it’s incredibly family friendly and as it’s so small once you get off the plane you won’t have a long transfer.

bluesky45 · 16/04/2024 10:42

Fab, I'll look into menorca and check out those hotels you mentioned, thank you! I've got a day off today and I'm going to be prepared with a list of holidays when my husband gets home!

Good point about transfers, ideally we would want less than an hour transfer but we might be asking too much now!

We've just booked the Balansat Resort in Ibiza l, all inclusive for three of us £1.2k everything included I think it's a good deal. My children are younger than yours but it seems to cater to everyone, right on the beach, 20 mins from the airport

Either of the two hotels in Port Des Torrent in Ibiza, amazing place and ticks all the boxes for you.

I’d look at The Balearics. Menorca is very family orientated though we love Majorca too.

we were in Lanzarote in December and the temperatures were higher than 20degrees so no chance of it being that temperature in June.

forecast says it’s 25 degrees there just now and it’s only April.

Softpebbles · 16/04/2024 11:00

Another Menorca fan.

We stayed here and loved it. Something we always consider is the transfer time from the airport.

Gran Canaria wont have an average daytime temperature of 20°, that'll be the average of day and night combined. The average daytime high will be more like 23 - 26.

witmum · 16/04/2024 11:10

Check out TUI Blu holidays. Highly recommend

SnowFrogJelly · 16/04/2024 11:14

June (backed out of booking gran canaria last night because average day time temps only 20degrees according to Google)

We were in the Canaries in Feb and temp was mid 20s

SnowFrogJelly · 16/04/2024 11:15

Would also recommend Menorca

idontlikealdi · 16/04/2024 11:16

Tui blue or holiday village in Ibiza, both have unlimited access to the water park next door and family rooms

Nomorebeer22 · 16/04/2024 11:22

Los zocos in Lanzarote. Flight was 4 hours so maybe a bit long but would be fab for kids that age. A senior suite is 2 bedrooms.

Just home from there 3 weeks ago and it was fantastic. 10 mins walk to shops/restaurants/beach.

All inclusive was fab, food was lovely and meant DC could go get drinks/ice creams/chips etc when the wanted.

I booked it without checking reviews etc (may have got carried away after a couple of glasses of wine) so we were pleasantly surprised how good it was.

Bjorkdidit · 16/04/2024 11:26

I also think the Canaries will be plenty warm enough in June. We went in March and it was hot and sunny pretty much all the time. I swam in the sea nearly every day.

I posted this on a thread the other day which might suit (didn't put much thought into it just one of many results that fit the brief)

https://www.jet2holidays.com/beach/canary-islands/lanzarote/playa-blanca/hl-club-playa-blanca?airport=118&board=5&date=04-10-2024&duration=7&gtmsearchtype=Smart+Search&iflight=1085408&occupancy=r2c1_5&oflight=1085405&rooms=20624&smartsearchid=68364a5f-3e3d-49ae-94c1-7eaa0f2b757a

However, depending on where you are in the country, the Canaries are a longer flight. Might be around 3 hours or so from London, but northern England/Scotland and it's more like 5, so that would tip you towards the Med.

bluesky45 · 16/04/2024 11:35

@Bjorkdidit we almost booked that one last night too! I am a terrible decision maker!

You're going to get much better weather in the Canaries in June than in Europe.

celticprincess · 18/04/2024 13:13

Check whether the evening entertainment is indoors or outdoors. We did Majorca in May many years ago and it wasn’t that hot in the day but evenings were freezing but the hotel we went to had all their entertainment on an outdoor stage from May onwards. Haven’t been many places with outdoors stages to be fair. But we got all dressed up then sat on coats. Pool was also too cold for swimming.

Canaries are definitely warmer than your Google search. We’ve done canaries as Nee hear, at Easter and in summer and it’s hot all the time. The evening temps do drop in the winter. Find somewhere with heated pool as we did Fuerteventura in April one year and the pools were freezing but it was definitely bikini sunbathing temps. Canaries are a much longer flight even though classed as ‘Spain’. Lol.

My kids went to Ibiza with their dad one year in May and all got sunburnt 😦. But o think 2 evenings were cool.

Simplelobsterhat · 18/04/2024 13:35

We stayed in Marinda Gardens in Menorca 2 years ago and I'd say that suited your requirements. No splash park / slides in hotel itself but free entry to aqua park literally next door. 20 min walk from a beach and marina. Good range of food in buffet plus burgers, chips etc from pool bar in day. 1 bed apartments so a bedroom and sofa bed in living area (we took the sofa bed so we could access the balcony while kids in bed).

Also the sun is very strong down there so it feels way hotter than that

given temperatures are usually shade temperatures. It will certainly feel 30 plus in June.

Clearinguptheclutter · 18/04/2024 13:41

Canaries aside, Algarve is lovely. We have had great weather there in June and September though is def quite breezy

Canaries will be warmer than the Balearics, it is nearer the equator.

We really enjoyed this in Alvor Portugal - it’s about a 15 minute walk to town, harbour etc although there is a beautiful beach closer.
