Has anyone found earplugs that actually block out snoring?

My DP snores (as do I occasionally). We often end up in different rooms, but we have a campervan and go away a lot. We can’t sleep separately then! The lack of sleep is beginning to affect the joy of the weekend away!

I currently have foam earplugs that say they block up to 37db. DP goes to sleep and starts snoring within seconds, and I can still hear it through these ear plugs.

I know all the other things like weight, etc. but right now I need some ear plugs if they exist!

I had moulds of my inner ear and then made into earplugs

They weren’t cheap £66 but well worth it
some shops that do hearing aids do it

These are the only ones that have worked for me and I have tried a few!

I snore and this definitely helps. I snore less and and sleep better as well.

@Caswallonthefox I’ve worn ear plugs for nearly 20 years. I actually sleep with them on when I sleep alone 🤣. But in the confined space of the van, they don’t work. I’m ordering all the samples on here to try (except for the £250 ones!)

I use Wutan earplugs from Amazon.

I'm the snorer. If you wear these really good earplugs can you hear your alarm?

I bought the Loop ones and all I could think was that whoever had given them a 5* review, their DH doesn't snore as loud as mine! Not great IMO. I use Howard Leight laser lites. Not amazing but the best I've found so fat

FWIW I am the snorer in my house
I can snore when sleeping on my front
NOTHING stops it (even post surgery)
I also do the - silent for ages, loud snort - so most ear plugs will not help others

what DOES help is wave type noise to let us both go back to sleep quickly

None work for me.
DH has to sleep in the spare room these days.
I would get a little tent & put him in there op.

Quies wax ear plugs. There are 8 in a plastic box.
This weekend we were away and DH was like a chainsaw. I ended up using a whole earplug in each ear (usually use half) and it did the trick. You warm them in your fingers to soften them once you take the cotton wool wrapping off. All was fine until he started wriggling…

I've just got the silent ones and thought they were rubbish. I tried all of the different sizes and they just don't block out all of the noise, which I'm used to with foam ones.

Cheaper than constantly booking a separate hotel room/sc with an extra bedroom.

The search for ear plugs that actually block all noise is like my Waterloo. I've tried so many (including the £249 ones, which had a £50 customs charge too). Nothing blocks my husband's snores.

to my dismay - after nearly being late getting the kids to school - I realised a really loud alarm was the key

I’ve ordered some wax ones. I have Bose noise cancelling ear buds, which I put on with white noise playing, but I can’t sleep on my side easily with them. And I find I don’t sleep for long periods.

I’m currently thinking some sort of ear plugs plus a headband with white noise.

He snores on his back, side and front. Luckily he’s lovely in every other way 😁

I have considered a tent! But we go all year round so think it might be too cold in January. But might take it for the next weekend in May

separate rooms is the only way - been doing this for 15 years - if going camping get husband to sleep in tent! Or book into nearest B & B 🤣

I've tried a range of plugs but nothing blocks out all noise. Best I can do is have foam earplugs then a bluetooth headband over them playing white noise. I even bought over the ear defenders but they were too uncomfortable to sleep in, I used them when especially desperate for just a couple of hours sleep.

Loop were especially disappointing as their social media marketing had me convinced they were going to transform my life.
