I've got a really hairy face!!! What do I do?

I've tried the spring from tweezerman but I caught my face in the sun and it was SO HAIRY. Can I just use a normal razor or do I need a special dermaplaning one? I can't use hair removal cream they always burn my skin

Get it waxed. I have my chin done every couple of months and it costs me £8. There’s less hair every time.

Not really. I make an appointment when I can see it in the mirror in sunlight. It removes bum fluff - or peach fuzz, if you’re being polite!

I've often wondered about this. I have ",peach fuzz" but it's not too bad. Will I make it worse by getting rid of it? Will it come back bristley?

Just wait until your eyesight goes a bit and don't look in the mirror wearing glasses. Mine has gone completely.

Have you tried a sensitive hair removal cream and checked you’ve got a timer on so you’re definitely not leaving it on an extra 2mins etc? (This is how I managed to burn myself before)

Yes and yes. I can leave it on for about 30 seconds which then doesn't do much for the hair :(

OP, I just shave the peach fuzz with my lady shaver when it is noticeable, every month or so, and pluck the darker hairs. Been doing it for years and the peach fuzz has stayed fuzzy, it doesn't turn into a 5 o'clock shadow or anything.

Just a warning, I also “lady shave” and is has made my facial hair a bit more stubby around my chin and upper lip. I have to do it daily but it only takes seconds. (If I’m ever in hospital without capacity I’m going to turn into a gorilla pretty quickly!)

Get a Phillips Lumea. I never used to leave the house without a pair of tweezers but now I couldn’t even tell
you where my tweezers are! I just have the basic model and it was a brilliant investment.

Dermaplaning - specific razors for it. Use a plain light oil or serum to do it, look it up on YouTube there are loads of good demos. It’s very easy once you know the technique.
do a little trial first as like anything, it can cause irritation

Threading is the best for peach fuzz.

I used to have threading - it fucking stings on the lip area but you get a finish like nothing else. I moved house though and no one seems to really do threading round here. It's all waxing, which is ok but doesn't remove it all.

I have one of those spring things for emergencies but it does hurt so I rarely use it. I'm much better if someone else is inflicting the pain !

The best tip I got on here when discussing shaving of the face was to ignore all the razors targeted at women and buy a man's razor. They are specifically designed to move and flex with facial contours, the one I got has a sort of springy thing where the blade meets the razor, it does the job so much more quickly and effectively than using a razor designed for legs or underarms. It takes a few minutes once a week and I pluck any long ones that pop out in between. IPL no good for me as I have fair skin and blonde facial hair.

I have the same issue it really gets you down! I use JML Flawless if I can't be bothered plucking, it seems to have killed off the hair cells on my upper lip but I still get hairs on my neck, I invested in an IPL but haven't stuck to using it enough for it to make a difference! 🙈

I use a lady shaver designed for legs etc.

I've got a LOT of peach fuzz so I just shave once or twice a week before I put my makeup up on. Takes about a minute and skin looks soooooo much better!!

I also use dermaplane razors now and again

Agree with pp. Get a really decent mens razor with spring blades, shave whole face weekly. All sorted. I tried the spring twisty thing and it hurt, also tried derma planing but was less effective than just shaving.

Get it lasered. Life changing.

Laser it off. I'm getting my legs zapped and I wish I'd done it sooner.
