I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The heating's just come on - it's chilly down here.

We're meant to be getting an early ish train to York for the day, but only me and dd1 are up so far. Tbh, I could happily have stayed in bed a while longer 💤

I wanted to wander some of the museums in York while we're there and dd2 likes the Waterstones more than ours. & we all fancied visiting the marketplace food court again 😋

Later on, it'll be a couple of episodes of Lucifer, and a fairly early night for me I think. The girls could do with getting back to normal too so they won't be staying up late.

I’m having a rare day with no plans and for the first time in a while nothing to organise or sort out! So I’m still in bed, DH just brought me my first cup of tea if the day.

He’s off out soon till lunchtime so I’m just going to read, my new Marian Keyes book arrived on Thursday and I’m itching to start it but also want to savour it so I think I’m going to finish my current book first.

might do some painting later (pictures, not walls) but this afternoon will watch the football/golf/grand National and planning on making a nice dinner this evening.

big countryside walk planned tomorrow so don’t feel too guilty about being a slob today!

Up early for a football match. DS has been asked to help out with another team. After this not much- dogs need some more food so a trip to the pet shop and then I have some work I have to do so I may get on with that this afternoon.

I'm hoping the weather stays dry so we can take the dogs out a wander later- my old girl point blank refuses to go out if it's wet and her doggy sister won't go walking without her🙄

I love York. You’re so lucky to live close. It’s a bit far from us in Scotland!

Lazy morning so far. Had to get up and feed DCat. She will not let anyone else feed her in the morning. She must come down with me!

Brought a cup of tea back to bed. Will take the DCs out later but a quiet day planned. Back at school and work on Monday so just enjoying the break.

We have lazy mornings on Saturdays because dd2 has dance lessons in the afternoons. Just getting up with the dog. Dd1 will rot in bed as long as I let her but dd2 will toddle down when she hears me.
I will cook poached eggs and hash browns for brunch and we will probably watch interior design masters for a bit.

Because we can't go out for the day Saturdays are really restful now.

Feeling happy I did the food shop yesterday too 😀

Packing the car to go off on holiday to Wales tomorrow, hiring a motor home. We just did wordle and the word was Welsh what a coincidence, made me laugh.

Sat under blankets with my toddler she's teething badly today so we're watching Peppa pig with our drinks then we're going to have some breckfast, think we might have a pushchair walk into town later she loves a ginger bread man and a ride on the Peppa pig ride so that'll get a smile from her without being too stressful at things like soft play maybe a 'mummy juice' ~her name for my coffee~ before home for a rest and hopefully a nap for her.

Everyone is still sleeping here.

DP finally got home yesterday. I also finished nights yesterday so I'm pretty tired today.

We will catch up on housework probably. Maybe have a wander down to the local pub this evening.

Good Morning. Wilf and I are on our way to Deaf Day in London. It's a rail replacement bus for part of the journey. I've managed not to misplace him at Billericay this time which is an improvement on last time!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Morning. Been up since the back of 5am on and off, feeding my newborn who’s cluster feeding. 5 year old got up around an hour ago, so we’re downstairs, DH doing some housework and DS(5) pottering about playing. Baby DS still feeding. Might pop out to do a food shop soon, other than that I have a lot of housework to do this weekend!

DDs 1&2 are at Brownie camp so we have three smallest at home. Missing the bigger girls but enjoying seeing what they’re up to. We’re just back from holiday and I’m on my final load of washing. DH has been out for a run and is currently in garden with girls on trampoline I think. I’m having a coffee and scrolling. Think we will go to local ish park on scooters if it stays dry (more suited to younger girls so we don’t go as often) and out for lunch at lovely little cafe in town. Friends coming over for takeaway late afternoon/evening so looking forward to catching up. Suppose I better get up and hang out the washing while it’s dry!

I'm in the kitchen having a cuppa and a slice of fresh bread that DH baked overnight in the bread oven. I'm taking the dog to the beach shortly and I'll have a dip in the sea.
Later off to get holiday nails done (off to sunnier climes next week) then meet a friend for a walk and coffee this afternoon. The rest of the day will be spent cleaning the upstairs of the house then doing some work on my dissertation, boring but necessary.

In about 20 minutes I will have an empty house, so I will quickly do the dishwasher and a load of washing, pop round to Sainsburys local
for snacks. Then it’s a feet up watching the telly kind of day.

Currently drinking coffee and watching Peppa Pig with DD. Soon we'll head to the coast to collect DS who's been staying with grandparents for a few days. Looking forward to being reunited and getting some sea air on a sunny day!

In the afternoon, a trip to B&Q to get a picture hook for a special picture we had framed recently. Will wander around the garden bit too. Then to M&S to pick up one of their boxed pizzas and some nice salad stuff.
It’s sunny and warm here so really looking forward to digging out my spring clothes!

I am home alone for the first time in two weeks. Heaven. Just having a brew, have put some washing on, will do some household bits then I am going to get my book and if it’s warm enough sit in the garden. It’s been a busy week and I’m weary. Will pick Dd1 up from work at 1pm and it’s just us for the rest of the day. Have a good day everyone.

Haven't a clue what to do with DS 5 and 7 today-Any ideas welcome! We're all really tired at the end of the school hols and can't get the energy to go out today. And I'm fed up of cleaning mud off of everything whenever we go out!

Would love a chilled out day at home but they fight pretty much constantly and struggle to entertain themselves when we're home😣

Been to the beach to walk the dog but the tide was right in and that’s always disappointing. Yes I should have looked at the tide times but I didn’t. Cleaned the bathroom then driving to York too!

I have a exam that I'm really undeprepared for 😭😭

I am just about to get up and have tea. DH has, as usual, been up early and seen to the dogs.

I haven't had the best week healthwise, so today I am just putting some pansies in a flowerbed, changing the beds and then reading until my friend comes to pick me up for a concert this evening.

We're having an early dinner, roast duck with hoisin sauce.

We are off to a farm open day, just for the morning. Then need to finish unpacking suitcases, from a week ago.

I have DSis’s dog here so took her and my own mutt for a nice walk, then did my workout and am just finishing breakfast. DD will come over before her drama class and I need to pop to Lidl or Aldi for snacks and fizz - friends staying tonight and we’re all off to an Abba tribute night, all dressed up in full flared jumpsuits.

Headachey and feeling down today.

I was on the sofa resting but next door have a skip around right outside the window so it's been noisy with things being thrown in.

Morning @lucysmam & everyone. Off to work soon so clock watching. I had a lie in but with some very weird, vivid dreams. I’m on anti depressants & they often give me full on dreams! Have emptied & loaded the dishwasher & the washing machine is doing a drum clean. Just ate the leftover stew from last night for a late breakfast. Really nice cold. Going to sit with DM after work as DF is off out ( probably playing golf as he hasn’t been able to play for ages with all the rain). Bought a lovely looking hoisin steak stirfry mix from the butchers yesterday & will cook it for tea with fresh egg noodles. It has baby corn, courgettes & sweet peppers. DD15 will do her own thing when she gets home from her GF’s. Probably watch the last ever Saturday Night Takeaway & DH & I have got into The 1% Club. Not literally got in she adds hastily!

Currently basking in the glory of scoring 13/15 on the Guardian Weekend Quiz (my record).

About to take the dog out in bluebell woods before seeing The Duchess of Malfi this afternoon (not with the dog!).
