What silly thing makes you happy

I've just received my brown garden rubbish bin from the council. I can't wait to get in the garden but also when did I turn into someone who gets excited to have a new bin it used to be clothes and nights out .Am I now officially a old codger😁

I got some jersey royals yesterday .I never thought I would be so excited about a potato!

I bought multicoloured carrots.

Waiting until my weekend off to roast those bad boys.

Laughing and carrying-on with my teenage DC.

Getting into a bed with freshly changes, line dried sheets. I will fight anyone who tries to get in that bed before me (including husband, child and cat)

Line drying! I get so excited by a nice dry day when I can hang out loads. Got a wash on atm and that’ll go out. Just ordered new pegs, socktopus, line pole.

Oh I so agree , I would prefer my partner would sleep on the sofa for that first night .. but I suppose a bit mean

In work yesterday I raised an invoice and our system numbered it 128888. Made a crappy day a little better. A colleague got 128821 last week and didn't even blink. Total madness.

Sunny days which makes all these possible like walks, line drying , picnics , gardening.

Hearing the birds singing in my garden. We've got a starling right now who has made a nest in our eaves. First thing every morning he seems to get overwhelmed with how clever he has been and he has to start shouting about it.

I’ve got a new toothbrush holder coming today. It holds multiple toothbrushes and the inside and base can be removed for easy cleaning. I’m at the window waiting for the van

In the 1990s my landline number was the same as my birthdate which was a massive coincidence.

Going to the tip, I love it. Getting together all the garden waste, broken things, bits of old fence etc and stacking it in the car. Then the drive to the tip is quite nice and there are some long sweeping curves in the road that are pleasing to drive on. Once there and parked up, I like putting everything in the correct skip and the strange atmosphere you find at tips when people are quietly busy and also relieved, because some of them have probably had this stuff sitting around for ages. All done, there's the satisfying feeling of driving home with an empty car and the thought 'Glad that's out of the way' going through my mind.

Also love good drying days.

Writing with cute pens - cheap, use them all the time at work, make me smile. Currently have a unicorn topper, a chilli-shaped pen and an owl topper on the go

Reading Roald Dahl books with DC. A chapter every night before bed. Sometimes it's the best part of my day.

Seeing 'different' animals in the garden. Today it was a hare and I acted like a child at a zoo with the excitement.
