I've just received my brown garden rubbish bin from the council. I can't wait to get in the garden but also when did I turn into someone who gets excited to have a new bin it used to be clothes and nights out .Am I now officially a old codger😁

When I come downstairs in the morning, my miniature poodle is so pleased to see me she whirls around and around in circles. It’s highly amusing.

I took the day off work and spent the whole day doing the gardening and when I say "whole" I mean not once interrupted by rain, hail, wind or cold. It was officially for me at least the first day of Spring. And on my day off!

Rose pruning, done. Greenhouse jobs, done. Grass cutting, done. seeds now germinating, finally yay. The list goes on. And 2 more dry days forecast this weekend.

It's free, but it's priceless 🤗

Changed the bed today. Dried the bedding on the line. Bliss.

When my dc visit and I get all the gossip, I just love hanging out with them.

My dog when he is happy to see me. He's been really Ill and so an excited tail wag is one the best things to me.

Coffee in bed in the morning in a quiet peaceful house has to be right up there though.

Yesterday I saw the first newly arrived swallows.

I got out the second best (!) teaset yesterday and made a thing of it for a visitor.

I love driving through puddles, makes a rainy day really great.

I have a plum tree in my garden. He usually produces hardly any plums, last year we got 2. I don't hold it against him, they were nice and we're all just doing our best. I noticed today that there are hundreds growing this year. I don't know what's happened but I'm so proud.

I sort of know the joy because we have a proper garden this year so have been out every evening with the kids checking on the progress of the daffs, spring flowers, hedging and trees we planted. It's silly but I feel a sense of accomplishment that I put these in the ground and they grew.

What is stealing my heart though is the rabbits that come in and run around the garden.

I love when you're really hungry then eat a hot meal and afterwards your stomach feels so warm and full.

My new cordless vacuum cleaner arrived today - have been forced to use the bastard Henry for 2 weeks since the last one broke - I'm ridiculously pleased to see it!

I love the summer! I love line drying and often sit and watch it! I too love a fresh bed! I always sleep so much better.

Oooh the tip! It always reminds me of my DF and it feels so good to get rid of stuff. I also love a skip!

New pens and notebooks! I don't use them much any more but I do love a new pen and notebook.

I love quiet evenings, my kind of dinner and the TV for a couple of hours on my own.
