Paddy McGuinness saying 'booking' deliberately so it sounds very much like he's swearing - but he technically isn't, so you can't complain.
I would also have said the Verisure Alarms adverts, until somebody on here made the observation that they look like the result of a task on The Apprentice - and now I find them funny instead, thinking about that every time!
All the adverts for direct cremations, claiming that "Nobody likes funerals". Treasuring the opportunity to set time aside to pay tribute to and 'say Goodbye' with a traditional memorial, when a loved one has sadly died, is not something that 'nobody likes' at all. Some people may not like funerals, but a great many of us do - and it brings a real feeling of closure to many. Obviously people would have preferred that the loved one hadn't died in the first place, but you can't change that now.
Interestingly, they seem to be dialling back on that claim now, with some companies urging you to save money by having a direct cremation but then also suggesting that you spend the money that you saved on a memorial service/gathering for the deceased as well. Isn't that pretty much 'a funeral'?! It's like the financial equivalent of Marjorie Dawes and her 'Half the calories' diet!!
