Just that really. How many do you have? Are you done having them?
I have 3. Would like more but lacking space!

2 and done

DustyLee123 · 07/04/2024 08:43

I wanted another, but I’m glad I didn’t now as when you get to the driving lessons/car/uni years its expensive, and I’m glad we were able to help ours. Any more and we wouldn’t have been able to.

Vettrianofan · 07/04/2024 08:45
  1. There won't be any more.
Edited to say 4! No idea why 1 showed up🤔
Queijo · 07/04/2024 08:45

One 7 year old. Life is very easy now!

Himawarigirl · 07/04/2024 08:46

3 and absolutely done.

Exactly this!

Causewerethespecialtwo · 07/04/2024 08:48

4

Meredusoleil · 07/04/2024 08:48

OP you need a poll!

Whatsgoingonwithmyhead · 07/04/2024 08:49

One

No desire for any more. I’m in my 40s now anyway and 40 was my personal cut off point.

BrutusMcDogface · 07/04/2024 08:49

4, and I adore having them all, but in hindsight 4 is definitely too many.

UmaniCaroline · 07/04/2024 08:50

One (& way past having more!).
I would definitely have liked more, if circumstances had been different.

funasamum · 07/04/2024 08:50

2 and done. Thought about a 3rd but never found the right moment and didn't happen for us anyway- now our eldest is nearing 17/18 - I am so glad we didn't. Echoing others - it is so so expensive now. Uni is looming and not sure how DC will ever be able to afford it without our help or how they could leave home if they choose not to go 🙃

Luckycloverz · 07/04/2024 08:51

4, would like 1 more.

wearefreespirits · 07/04/2024 08:52

Lots and done.

APurpleSquirrel · 07/04/2024 08:55

2 & done.

determinedtomakethiswork · 07/04/2024 08:57

Bit outing but never mind I will name change.

Two.

Meadowfinch · 07/04/2024 08:58

1 Ex proved to be a controlling creep & a drunk so I've raised ds alone. My career wouldn't have survived a second.

dancingqueen345 · 07/04/2024 09:00

1 and pregnant with no.2. Definitely done after this.

If I didn't have to work/money was no issue (bigger house/cars/able to pay x lots of childcare), and if I'd started having kids younger then I would feel differently (I think!)

Pinkl · 07/04/2024 09:01

3 and done!

Fooshufflewickjbannanapants · 07/04/2024 09:02

6 and would have loved more but youngest has complex needs and is disabled so no more.

socks1107 · 07/04/2024 09:04
  1. I wanted another when they were very small and went as far as having the fertility treatment but I'm glad it didn't work in hindsight. Two has been lovely and my youngest is nearly 18.
I have a step daughter too so you could say I did end up with three in the end
Ravenclawhouse · 07/04/2024 09:04

I have 1. I would love a second, but my DD has a lot of additional needs and I want her to have my full focus (aside from DH and job).

Also we have a 1 in 4 chance of any children we have having the condition my daughter has as well and now I am over 40 the NHS can't pay for the IVF, which I always knew.

Plus it's cheaper when going on long haul holidays Wink

WYorkshireRose · 07/04/2024 09:11

We're one and done. DS is 5 now and life is slowly but surely getting easier, couldn't think of anything worse than going back to the baby/toddler years.

TheTwirlyPoos · 07/04/2024 09:16

We have two, boy and girl who are now five and three. Totally done, would hate to go back to the baby days.

Overthebow · 07/04/2024 09:16

2 and done. It’s the perfect number for us, we didn’t want an only child but any more than two and we wouldn’t be able to give them the quality of life we want and decent savings for their future.
