What’s for Saturday night dinner?

I love these threads and the weekend meals always sound so good.

DH & I are looking for inspiration. He’s helping my Dad wallpaper so hungry. While I need distracting from waiting to see if my period is going to arrive or if this the month to test.

So for dinner this Saturday night?

Chicken stew, rice , cabbage, potato salad

dessert- vanilla ice cream: apple crumble

Prawn Linguine and lemon meringue pie.

Marry me chicken with mash and a bottle of Gavi 😋

Homemade spring vegetable quiche, wedges, salad & coleslaw

Homemade chicken madras rice and nann

Homemade pizza and Buffalo chicken wings

Fajitas with nachos. All the trimmings - guacamole, cheese, lettuce etc. 6yo has a cheese wrap 😆

Pork loin cut into medallions with a cider and sage sauce.

Green beans tossed with butter and cubed roasted potatoes.

I’m having a lovely chicken tagine - but I’m currently in Marrakech 😂
DH will be having something boring like an omelette - he's a fussy eater.

Homemade meatballs in a thick Spanish style tomato and red pepper sauce with cubed roast potatoes, toasted bread with homemade garlic butter and a tomato and shallot salad. Fizz to start and lots of some red with our meal.

Double carbs but who cares!

A beige selection of oven chips, chicken goujons and breaded fish tomorrow to balance out the universe we're getting away for a few days on Monday so trying to use all the fridge stuff up. Only veg on offer will be whatever's left!

Steak ciabatta, chunky chips, mushrooms and onion rings with choux buns for after 😋

Sausage, mash and peas with onion gravy. 5yo DS’s request as he’s been poorly this week and not fancied much to eat.

Duck breasts, french fries and asparagus. Pretty quick and easy.

Jacket potatoes, tuna mayo with spring onion and celery, green salad. Got some lovely ripe cantaloupe melon to have later.

Been away on holiday and am craving simple food, veg and salads after eating out every night for 2 weeks.

Sushi

We had creamy fajita pasta.

Kids chose a tub of ice cream and we made ice cream sundaes with skooshy cream and salted caramel M&Ms for Saturday night treat.

@TheFairyCaravan us too, these short weeks at work are exhausting, same work one less day. Im having my go to Tofu in green pepper and black bean sauce

Moroccan lamb with couscous (rice for DS), with accomplishments

Sainsbury's are doing the half price lamb again and a full leg is way too much for us three, so I cut the top 4" off and freeze it as a flat piece of meat

We now have a specific saw blade for cutting through the bone 😁

We had a really random mixture of bits (some pre-prepared and some homemade) - reads weird but worked well somehow. Had to include some plainer stuff for my 9yo

A Lindt egg for pudding but am having a break first!

Having started a new book I cannot put down, going to make omelette & salad with rose wine as refreshment.

We had breakfast for dinner - bacon, sausages, eggs, beans and toast 😋

A bit of a can't be bothered, raid the fridge dinner.

Carbonara and garlic bread.

Both the kids popped round, which was really nice.

Piri piri chicken stirfry from the butchers with extra roasted veg on a flatbread.

Sirloin steaks on BBQ, prawns in a garlic and lemon butter sauce , corn on the cobs with lashings of butter, roasted tomatoes, green salad and spicy wedges with fajita seasoning and a paprika dip.

It was bloody delicious.
