What’s for Saturday night dinner?

I love these threads and the weekend meals always sound so good.

DH & I are looking for inspiration. He’s helping my Dad wallpaper so hungry. While I need distracting from waiting to see if my period is going to arrive or if this the month to test.

So for dinner this Saturday night?

We’re having a Chinese because I can’t be arsed to cook

Ive ordered a burger from the restaurant next door, that also does takeaways. I've also ordered some mozzarella dippers.

Just me tonight and I'm full of cold, so going to make chicken noodle soup and drink wine 🥰

Grilled steak with chimichurri sauce, grilled mixed vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, crunchy bread & butter. Can't wait!

Tofu stir fry served with rice, washed down with a bottle of red

I'm a bit hungover and achey after a night of dancing. I'm having hummus, carrots, cucumber, Snack a Jack's and sweet chilli crackers. Followed by a good dose of Dairy Milk.

Smoked haddock and leek risotto.

Fajitas!

Full of cold but we've been to Whitby and had afternoon fish n chips then an ice cream so no cooking tonight! Gale force wind but lovely and sunny, blew some cobwebs away. Snacks now, especially for ever hungry kids lol 😆

Chilli with coriander and lime rice and homemade cornbread. I can't wait!

Beef stroganoff here with lots of onions, mushrooms and some black and cayenne pepper to give it a bit of heat. Served with pasta.

dh making right now, so shpuld be tucking into it in 5 mins or so!

Homemade Wagamama style katsu curry (chicken for the non veg, aubergine and fake chicken for the veg), salad with Japanese dressing and white rice.

We’re all feeling poorly so homemade Raman. Homemade chicken and ginger broth with chicken, noodles, gyoza, veggies and boiled egg

Pasta with peas and bacon, garlic bread and salad. Not very inspiring! Yesterday we had vegetarian Rogan Josh which was surprisingly good!

Baked potatoes with lashings of butter, grated cheese and coleslaw. Bananas chopped into custard for pudding. Bottle of Malbec.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots, peas, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

Chicken gyros. Chicken, halloumi, chips, pitta, tzatziki and a chopped salad.

Spaghetti and meatballs with cheese, followed by carrot and orange muffins with cream cheese icing.

Indian takeaway for us. DH had just gone to pick it up. Can't wait, I'm hungry after a busy day of decorating!

We've just had sausage casserole which was cooked in the slow cooker and jacket potatoes..lush and easy given it was prepped hours ago!

My DH is doing home made tapas - chicken skewers, halloumi, potatoes and chorizo in red wine. Yummy! Going to tuck into an Easter egg for dessert. 🍫
