So.... where is the Emirates Dubai to Glasgow flight off to now do we think? Gust of 58 mph here - goodness know what it is like in Glasgow!

Manchester?

liveforsummer · 06/04/2024 13:47

Oh I love a flight radar during a storm thread (have started them myself in the past). Joining the thread!

Cornishtoddy · 06/04/2024 13:49

Looks like it's very random as a tiny little plane just landed at Glasgow.

Manchester has apparently closed the runways!

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 13:53

The Emirates plane EK27 was descending and is now climbing again. Was diverting to Manchester, now can't?

Last storm I was watching they were sending g Glasgow flights to Manchester, Leeds flights to Glasgow, Edinburgh flights to Leeds . I guess it just depends on the individual gusts at individual times. Some get to land and others don't

Cornishtoddy · 06/04/2024 13:53

At 32k ft Dubia isn't going to Manchester now- Birmingham?

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:07

EK27 now descending, looks like Brum.

Not sure how the passengers will get to Glasgow, with rail strikes on.

mitogoshi · 06/04/2024 14:08

Ooo

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:13

Nope, still descending but not turning for Brum.

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:14

FR now saying diverting to Gatwick.

Rosa · 06/04/2024 14:16

I went in to FR to check a flight for work and the Dxb Glasgow is the most tracked flight at the moment !!

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:16

Now an Easyjet from Malaga trying to land at Glasgow.

OhMyNerves · 06/04/2024 14:18

Ugh, my son's flight to Madrid has been cancelled at Heathrow. I'm getting lots of texts now.

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:20

The Easyjet from Malaga landed onFR.

mitogoshi · 06/04/2024 14:21

Dublin has some interesting diversions

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:23

Heathrow - been a slight ding between two planes on the ground.

nightcomeson · 06/04/2024 14:29

There's a Ryanair Stansted to Dublin that looks like it may be diverting to Leeds.

hannahwaddinghamsbiceps · 06/04/2024 14:29

Jet 2 from Faro just attempted to land at Glasgow now ascending

Cornishtoddy · 06/04/2024 14:29

Yes - looks like a wing bash at Heathrow.

Gawd- Gatwick to Glasgow is such a schlep!

Especially with a rail strike.

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:38

The Jet2 from Faro having another go at Glasgow.

Also a Tui from Alicante looks like it's lining up

Chersfrozenface · 06/04/2024 14:41

And the Jet2 is back up again at Glasgow.

Cornishtoddy · 06/04/2024 14:41

Jet2 failed again - I'm right that they don't do a 3rd attempt - it's a divert now?
