How much do you pay for your cleaner?

Just out of interest. I’ve been quoted £100 for 3 hours, 2 cleaners working together. It seems a bit steep, or am I tight? Thanks

£40 a time, she comes fortnightly for about 1.5 hours a time. We’re in Berks and she brings all her own products

Teq · 05/04/2024 10:55

Sounds about right to me. That’s £16.66 per person per hour. I pay mine £20/hr.

DearSilverGirl · 05/04/2024 10:55

So £16.66 an hour? Doesn't seem a huge amount to me- that's about what we pay. Do they bring their own kit and products?

IME it's impossible to tell whether a service is good value until you've tried it. Some cleaners do a brilliant job and are worth a fortune, some much less so.

£16 per hour for a 3 hour clean which she does on her own and brings her own products.

ggggggooooo · 05/04/2024 10:59

£18 an hour so yours sounds fine

That's expensive

craigth162 · 05/04/2024 11:01

£14 an hr. Central scotland. Your quote sounds fine

Nattalie18 · 05/04/2024 11:05

£40 weekly; she does all the jobs weve pre agreed and normally gets it done in around 1hr 30 - 1 hr 45min

SnowFrogJelly · 05/04/2024 11:09

I pay one cleaner £50 for 3 hours

qotsa · 05/04/2024 11:11

£15ph. She used her own products and comes for two hours a fortnight now. For deep clean especially, rather than maintaining, that sounds fine to me.

ByUmberViewer · 05/04/2024 11:18

£20 an hour West Midlands

worriedgal · 05/04/2024 11:22

We pay £85 for 5 hours
Either 1 ,2 or 3 people a week but always equates to 5 hours clean

LBOCS2 · 05/04/2024 11:23

£18/man hour, they bring their own products and are amazing. We're London/Surrey borders. They achieve more in a weekly 3hour clean than I manage in a month.

SabreIsMyFave · 05/04/2024 11:25

Blimey, for £100 for 3 hours I'd be doing it myself. That's ridiculous. £33.00 a hour FFS! 😆Anyone who thinks that is a reasonable rate for a cleaner has more money than sense! 😜

And yeah I know they work hard - but come off it. £33,00 an hour?! No-one can tell me that is OK.

daffodilandtulip · 05/04/2024 11:27

I gave up on cleaners after a succession of cleaners who didn't clean, and I recently thought I'd get some quotes again ... £45ph. Midlands.

It's 2 cleaners.

OldTinHat · 05/04/2024 11:40

Mine charges £10 an hour, which, imo, is ridiculous, so I pay her £15. One hour, once a week.

Alloveragain3 · 05/04/2024 12:26

£50 for 2 people, 90 minutes. Bring all own stuff and do fantastic job every time.

I much prefer this than one person for 3 hours.

BarrelOfOtters · 05/04/2024 12:27

£45 - one cleaner, 2 hours, she brings her own stuff. She's very thorough.

I don't care, My comment still stands. £100 for 3 hours of cleaning is ludicrous.

It's not 3 hours, it's 6 hours of cleaning.

App13 · 05/04/2024 12:38

FridaySpark · 05/04/2024 12:38
