Inspired by yesterday's thread of the bill splitting karma, which was very uplifting to read, can anyone share any stories where CF got their come uppence? These will be a wonderful read for all especially victims of CF!
I don't have any to offer I am afraid...

reverse kharma

I'd had a best friend at school when we were 10 & 11. Partly because we were the youngest in the school for both those years (yes, in the second year we were still younger than all the first years). So solidarity, brainiacs forever etc etc.

When we were 12 we moved to another bigger school (still the youngest by a long shot) but because we were put in different classes we started to drift apart and eventually became sworn enemies. I was, quite frankly, a little spoiled brat in a lot of ways and probably came across as quite stuck up to some. And I knew I was much prettier, cuter than my former BF.

One day a couple of years on we were in a combined gym class with my class and hers and boys and girls together doing folk dancing. We snarled a bit at each other and I made a nasty comment about how being prettier the boys were more likely going to want to dance with me than with her. So the teacher started showing us how to do this ethnic dance (Greek or something) and we're all prancing about and I figure I must be doing really well as I've got all the boys' attention. And I notice my ex friend smirking at me. At which point I also became aware that some how with all the bouncing about my shirt had become completely unbuttoned so everyone had a full view of me in my bra.

No wonder the boys were so interested!!

Once when DS was about ten we left him reserving us a table at a service station while we got the food. He was only a few metres away. We saw a slight kerfuffle and returned to find a sweaty red faced angry man had thrown him off the table and put his overfed kids there. We were annoyed and DS was upset but we found another table. Sweaty man went up to get his food order and tripped up on the way back, spilling everything including the icy drinks all over a man nearby. There was quite a scene and we laughed for ages.

Excellent - karma in action. What a bully and a nasty piece of work treating a child like this. 🌹

GogAndMagog · 09/04/2024 16:34

Yes that man deserved it @HedgehogB but define 'overfed kids' ?

Newestname002 · 09/04/2024 16:35

@Zyq

But you have to wonder why he didn't reserve the seats for himself, and why he sat down with her in the reserved seats.

Very true - no argument from me! 🌹

I was at a junction of a side road (small B road) that joined a 70mph dual carriageway, there was barely any slip road, about 20 yards to get out in a gap and had to get from 0mp to 50+mph without causing an accident. It was also on a bit of a curve so didn’t get much chance to see a gap coming. Nightmare junction really and to top it off I was in a tiny Citroen C2. Car behind was a BMW (shock) who refused to wait behind me, some flashy knob in a suit and aviator glasses. We’d only been at the junction about 20 seconds but he decided to drive round me. It was ridiculously dangerous as we both could have moved off at the same time. Anyway, get a mile or so down the road and he was doing the walk of shame, getting out his vehicle escorted by an officer. I did a massive whoop! As I drove past. Should have tooted my horn

Good for you - I hope he got what for from the police officer. what a dangerous twat he was. 🌹

I haven't got anything personally but I think when those in high office are hopefully brought to justice for the Horizon/post office scandal it is going to be the best example of Karma we have ever seen and I for one cannot wait!

I really hope those falsely accused, and persecuted, get justice. And for those poor people who've sadly died, that their estates/family get the financial reimbursements and compensation they deserve. What a disgraceful miscarriage of justice. 🌹

I can't bear drivers who throw lighted cigarette ends out of car windows. It's far mroe dangerous than throwing litter and can really injure a person. I've had one blow in through my open car window and it burned a hole in my (expensive) clothes and a blister in my skin. As I was driving, it could also have caused a crash.

People who do that are far worse than complete and utter slobs they are recklessly endangering others.

I applaud Kev for his response. We need more Kevs.

One lit cigarette butt landed in my baby's pram! Bastard who threw it out was a passenger in a wagon that was passing us - didn't even look as he chucked it and had made no attempt to extinguish it.

Overfed kids?? Ok I’ll bite
either
a) kids with more food put in front of them then they could possible eat
or
b) kids displaying a lot of sub-cutaneous adipose tissue, which indicates that their b.m.i puts them in the “obese or morbidly obese” categories

I was accidentally the CF on a train about 10 years ago. I booked my train ticket and seat online, about 2 weeks in advance. I got to the train station nice and early but my online ticket wouldn't work, thankfully the guy in the gate let me through when I explained - so I went straight to my booked seat and settled in. Shortly before departure a woman came up to me and said I was sitting in her seat - I said no it's my seat & showed her my booking. Luckily there was plenty of free seats so she sat down a few rows behind me. After a while I double checked my ticket again and realised I'd booked my ticket/ seat for the day I bought the ticket instead of the day I wanted to travel - so it was actually her seat 😳
I had to buy a 2nd ticket to make up for my mistake.
No drama though - I was polite, she was polite & we both had seats.

A girl at school was supposed to be my friend, but would often really embarrass me. e.g. when I was talking to this boy I liked, she pointed out to him I hadn't shaved my legs. I'm really tall and when I wore some heels she made me feel so ugly in front of peers by joking that tall people look so ridiculous in heels.

Shopping with her was hard work. She was short and VERY curvy, but would try on things that just didn't suit her figure. If I tried to tell her, she would sulk.

When in our late teens she would insist I came out clubbing, even though I worked night shifts and was exhausted, and would sulk if I didn't come. She'd then order me to go and talk to her ex in the club (what a surprise he was there!) and then have a go at me for talking to him.

On one occasion whilst shopping (we were 17) she tried on this brown velour all in one body suit. It looked awful. Made her thighs look cellulitey, her bum look flabby and her stomach look pregnant. I tried tactfully to say it perhaps wasn't right for her then suggested something else, but she bought it anyway and sulked for the rest of the trip.

She then wore it to a party and I tried not to smirk when these boys from our college were taking the p*ss out of her and how awful she looked. They used the expression a flabby turd.

Age 20, I finally had enough of her constant demands and putting me down, and stopped having any contact with her.

I was most amused to find out she had gone on to marry one of the boys who was always taking the p*ss out of her! I think of it as karma and it makes me feel much better!

My ex boasted to his newish girlfriend of 5/6 months how his exes with children didn’t know he had a new job or his new salary. He also told her he’d hidden savings in two accounts that he hadn’t declared in his ongoing divorce.

She pretended to get excited with him, worked out where he kept his payslips and bank statements, took photos and sent them to his ex wife and ex girlfriend along with details of his job (start date, job title, location etc).

After a review his CM payments almost doubled! He also had to renegotiate part of his financial settlement due to his “forgotten” accounts.

Didn't affect me financially as our two are uni age now, but his social media meltdowns about the situation have been absolutely hilarious.

Edited

Love this! Did the new girlfriend tell him what she did and dump his sorry arse??

Buying our first home, the people we were buying off were moving into rented, and we were due to complete the move before Xmas but they asked if they could have one last Xmas in their home (they had a toddler) before going into rented accommodation. We obliged, even though we were desperate to move and it had already been delayed by them, but it was just as prices were rocketing and in the Jan they came back and said the price had gone up by £5k. We were do desperate to marry and start a family we agreed as we were so far gone.

a couple of months later they came to collect some post and she told my husband the person they were renting off had increased the price, and outrageous it was, without a hint of irony

Several years ago I needed a mattress protector and two pillow protectors for a bedbug infestation. Could have bought it off Amazon but decided to support a small business. The guy was a nightmare! Claimed he always responded promptly and personally to issues, but ignored me repeatedly when I kept telling him my purchases hadn't arrived.

Finally the mattress protector arrived, but not the pillow ones, so I did a partial chargeback. Possibly with PayPal; I can't remember now. I was happy to pay for the goods I received (even though he was such a jerk) but was not going to pay for the ones I hadn't, so I ended up paying for the mattress protector and getting a refund for the pillow protectors.

He still refused to respond to me so I sent an email to the employer he worked for (found that on his LinkedIn) and explained why I wanted to talk to him. Mostly it was just to annoy him, to be honest. He got right back to me and was very cheesed off, partly because his employer now knew he was being chased by an unhappy customer from his side gig, and also because the chargeback had taken the ENTIRE amount of the purchase away from him! I said I had only asked for and received a partial refund, but he clearly didn't believe me.

Then he sent me an email claiming that he now had pillow protectors and could send them to me immediately. All I had to do was pay for them. HAHAHA no way, he was obviously going to pocket the money to make up for what he'd lost in the chargeback. I ignored him! And I have no regrets because I paid for what I'd been sent and it wasn't my fault that he'd had the entire amount taken away. Karma!

I have a great one.

I was on my way back from uni, got on the train and after walking a few carriages found a space free on the corner of a set of 4. I put my handbag on the table and was loading my case up into the overhead luggage rack when a man in a suit shoved past me into the seat. I told him it was my seat and he said ‘it’s not your seat because im sitting in it’. I told him my handbag was there and I was just loading my case and he ignored me.

Then the woman in the seat next to him said ‘don’t be a twat, she was going to sit there.’ He mumbled a bit but didn’t move. Eventually she says to me, ‘fine, you can have my seat, I’m getting off soon anyway.’ She made a big show of packing her bag and then standing up, he gets up to get out her way, she comes out and holds out her hand to let me in. I get in and sit in her seat, and she immediately sits in the seat he’s vacated. He totally freaked out, told her to get out of his seat. Of course she says ‘it’s not your seat because I'm sitting in it.’

His face! He tried to bluster but she just said ‘I suggest you go find another seat’ and put her headphones in. To this day I’ve never witnessed anything that made me so satisfied. I was 19 and a bit shy, this woman was late twenties or early thirties, gorgeous and incredibly confident. I still channel her sometimes when I need a bit of inner confidence!

I love her! 😍

Around 15 years ago (before the internet was quite as advanced as it is now) I decided I wanted to have hair extensions and after some searching online I found a lady who was reasonably priced (though not stupidly cheap!) to come and fit some hair extensions. She had a website showing her "work" and reviews... even better she came to my home to fit the extensions.

She placed the extensions and we chatted happily for a couple of hours, my Mum had popped over and she was saying how she could add some volume to my Mums hair if she booked an appointment.

The hair was supposedly high quality.

That night I was in agony as it felt like my scalp was being scratched and pulled constantly. I washed my hair (following her instructions) and my hair... turned into Barbie hair! Could not run a brush through it. I went to a hairdresser who was horrified at the extensions and how they had been fitted, said the hair was basically dolls hair. Had to remove them with pliers and cut around 6 inches of my own hair out.

I was around £250 down.

She ignored all of my messages and kept saying I should have brought a special brush from her and the issue was all my fault!

Anyway, I left a trustpilot review and long story short, happened to connect with another woman who had had an identical experience. This woman was a real force to be reckoned with.

Turns out the hair extension fitter didn't live where she claimed to live and the woman I connected with found her address and turned up at her door and left her a letter asking that we both be refunded. Hair extension fitter reaches out to us both via email telling us to leave us alone!

Weeks go by and she's still very active online and on social media promoting her business. More people come out of the woodwork having suffered the same as us.

So we set up a fake email address and arranged for the hair extension fitter to meet us at a property to fit the hair... she arrives, and there we were. She was mortified.

Needless to say, within the hour we had both been refunded to our banks, but I'll never know what happened to the other women who had lost their money to this con artist!

Similar to others on here but I’m a Deputy Headteacher. I was due to interview a candidate about was dealing with a behaviour incident and so a lovely lady in our office took him to the classroom to set up. I’m dealing with this behaviour incident in the office ehen I see him go past and I smile and say hello. He completely blanks me and the other office staff. His face when I walked in to observe his lesson and hen interview him!
Needless to say, he didn’t get the job. No one that treats any member of staff like that isn’t welcome!

Not so much karma as deserved comeuppance - just as I reached the manned checkout at the local supermarket a bloke took some items out of his basket and threw them on the conveyor belt in front of me so he could say he was in the queue before me. No biggie, decide the arsehole could have his little victory and moved to another checkout; except clever clogs was in a queue behind a loaded trolley, while I was behind some one with a basket - so as I left the shop arsehole bloke was still in his queue.

Resisted the temptation to give him a little wave.

When my husband worked at a supermarket, someone swiped two bottles of whisky and dived out of the store and across the car-park. He jumped over a wall, but didn't realise it was 8 feet from the pavement. Broke the bottles
of whisky, and both legs!

I love these kind of posts. I'm sure I can dig a few out but one that stands out is when I was on a 2 lane stretch of motorway and the traffic had slowed to about 20 mph.i was in the inside lane and I spied a BMW coming up the hard shoulder sailing past all the traffic. I beeped my horn at him and he gave me the finger. What he hadn't realised was that I had seen, as the road curved round a bend, there was a police traffic vehicle on the hard shoulder. He started frantically indicating for someone to let him into the line of traffic but nobody would . He was bang to rights and I gave him a wave as I passed him parked right behind the cop car.
Oh it was delicious 😋 🤣🤣

This is fantastic 👏
