There will be plenty of booze and it won't be fancy. I'll have about an hour to cook and bugger all time before to prepare in advance. Oh and you're family so I don't have to 'impress', but I want it to be lovely too!

Honestly op, I’d just do chicken thighs with chorizo and baked spuds with some salad.

throw the thighs in the over with some peppers, onion, garlic, olive oil, shove in baked spuds at the same time,make a salad, take it out in about 45 mins, job done.

Lasagna (happy with shop bought!) or some spaghetti bolognaise. Why does pasta taste so much better when made by someone else?!

Buy another one and cut her off. Time to move on !

Fajitas with pulled pork, chicken breast or steak slices and shop bought dips. Yum!!!
I cook a great pasta carbonara that doesn’t take long and always goes down well.

Black cod or wild salmon with some nice Ottolenghi salads.

Lasagne with a nice salad/garlic bread or a curry!

Roast chicken, a couple of salads, some wedges with some kind of flavour sprinkle on them and some mayo
