Was your gut instinct in pregnancy about whether you were having a boy or a girl correct?

Just interested.

Keep having dreams of one gender - not sure if it means anything!

We’d be happy with either.

Yes, both times. I didn't find out before either of my dc were born.

DownWithThisKindOfThing · 03/04/2024 18:28

First time yes
second time no

2 boys

polkadotpixie · 03/04/2024 18:29

I was sure DS was a boy and was correct. I'm currently pregnant with DC2 and I think it's a girl but will find out in a few weeks

No, no strong feelings either way. Thought 2nd one was a boy and was wrong

pumpkinpiee · 03/04/2024 18:33

Yes my instinct was correct and also had dreams x

yarnwitch · 03/04/2024 18:34

With my first I had a very strong gut instinct from about 8 weeks, and I was right. With my second and third I had no clue either way.

PaperDoIIs · 03/04/2024 18:35

Yes , as soon as I got the positive result I knew she was a girl . I was right(not hard when there's a 50/50 chance)

sophi1995 · 03/04/2024 18:38

Wrong the first time and right the second time.

It's a 50/50 chance so people are going to get it right roughly half the time.

I definitely wouldn't be thinking dreams about one gender give any indication.

Hedjwitch · 03/04/2024 18:43

Wrong 3 times out of 3

Pocahontas123 · 03/04/2024 18:44

Dc1 I was wrong
Dc2 I was correct
Dc3 I was wrong

Topsy44 · 03/04/2024 19:01

No. I really thought I was having a boy amd so did everyone else as apparently they could tell from how I was carrying! But out popped a beautiful wee girl😀.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 03/04/2024 19:03

Nope. Completely wrong both times.

WeeOrcadian · 03/04/2024 19:05

Yes, twice

MojoDojoCasaHouse · 03/04/2024 19:05

I was wrong about the sex both times. Was convinced I was having boys, even dreamt of life with a baby boy whilst pregnant. Found out they were girls at delivery. Even the midwife delivering second time seemed convinced she was a boy. So far their genders match their sex.

Thursa · 03/04/2024 19:06

I was right both times.

FasterthanaButteredOtter · 03/04/2024 19:06

Yes. Strong feeling after seeing a very early scan (no genitals available!) and I was right.

CurlewKate · 03/04/2024 19:06

I wanted a girl - so I completely blocked the possibility and convinced myself it was a boy so I wouldn't be disappointed-I didn't want any risk of him feeling any negative feelings.

YouveGotAFastCar · 03/04/2024 19:07

Yes. Strong feeling from 7 weeks. We didn’t find out, but it didn’t feel like a surprise because I just knew.

I did have a few dreams about it being a girl, though!

Rainyspringflowers · 03/04/2024 19:13

I did. It’s strange but I was so certain I bought clothes for them without knowing for definite and I was right.

evtheria · 03/04/2024 19:14

Yes, but I only voiced my feelings just before the scan!

Flopsy145 · 03/04/2024 19:23

Yes, both pregnancies I knew from the get go and was correct (second yet to be born but has been confirmed on multiple scans)

Lifebeganat50 · 03/04/2024 19:25

I was wrong first time and right the second, purely because my second pregnancy was different from my first in every way so reckoned it had to be opposite sex and I was correct.

Found out the sex at birth both times

bottomsup12 · 03/04/2024 19:47

Correct

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/04/2024 20:15

I wasn't bothered either way but I was convinced I was having a boy. I'd have confidently betted my 6 winning lottery numbers on it, but No it was a girl. I remember saying to the anesthetist after my c/section "A girl!! Are you sure". 😂

What did you go on to have and how did you feel.
