Any super kind millionaire want to share their fortune with me?

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:01

That’s it really.
Apologies if some were expecting a sob story, I don’t really have one to give.

I just want a life of luxury to be honest, I want to book a holiday to the Maldives in one of those water apartments. I want to afford my dream car and buy a nice, detached stone cottage with wrap around hedging, some land for goats and chickens and a large driveway. I want to be able to take myself off to London for the day and do a decent sized shopping haul of good quality clothes and nice jewellery (that don’t come from primark). I want to be able to get my highlights topped up every 6-8 weeks instead of every 6 months 😂

I also want to work less, employ a nanny and a cleaner.

I could play the lottery and try my own luck.. but I never even won a single game of pass the parcel as a child. Not once! So I can’t imagine I’ve got much luck in the winning department.

I’m looking for the easy route.. so if there are any multi-millionaires that don’t mind parting with a bit of dosh.. please consider me.

What luxuries would you do if you won say, 5 million+ ?

I love reading what others would do!🍾

First, yes to the secluded cottage away from traffic where I can have pets. Maybe even a little donkey. I have no garden.

Second, yes to a five star holiday for two weeks, with massages, infinity pool, amazing food. After that, I think it would get boring.

I wouldn’t bother with clothes or jewellery, I have enough of all that. I would however have a massage every day or every other day.

That’s it!

idontlikealdi · 03/04/2024 16:07

I'd buy a horse for me and a pony for each kid. Money would disappear quickly!

JamOnWeds · 03/04/2024 16:08

I just want a life of luxury to be honest!😁

Kpo58 · 03/04/2024 16:08

Maybe it's worth trying a local Facebook freebies group? Some do a day per week when you can request something. 😉

JamOnWeds · 03/04/2024 16:09

Oh, I forgot the cleaner!

Kneeslikethese · 03/04/2024 16:12

5 million I'd buy a detached house with a bit of land, I'd build a studio for my son so he could drum to his heart content.
We'd be able to go part time at work or maybe even retire.
And holidays in the sun every year and maybe buy a small camper van for adventures in this country.

BlueRidgeMountain · 03/04/2024 16:15

Ha! I’m like you OP, I can’t even win a raffle never mind the euro millions! If I did come into that sort of money though, I’d absolutely have a cleaner, gardener and chef. Or maybe just a butler like Jeffrey on Fresh Prince. Someone to take care of all the mundane shit in life so I could focus on sorting my health problems out. I’d pay really well! And I’d have a holiday place by the beach somewhere.

Slobberchops1 · 03/04/2024 16:16

Never met a kind millionaire

FrancisSeaton · 03/04/2024 16:19

I'd be happy with a grand right now

EmpressSoleil · 03/04/2024 16:19

Whenever I enter Euromillions, usually about 3 times a year when there's a massive prize, I imagine what I'll spend my winnings on. As surely it must be my turn 😂

I'd give up work. Spend my time travelling the world, not neccessarily the most expensive travel/accommodation but comfortable. I'd just pick a place to start, then move on when I was ready, maybe coming home for a bit here and there if I fancied it. I'm not a beach holiday person so I'd want to explore cities, or see wildlife, hike in beautiful places, that kind of thing. I could keep going like that for years.

At last. An honest begging thread on MN.

5mil and a bit of change? Yeah, go on then, send me your bank details... 😄

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:23

@BlueRidgeMountain oh yes to a gardener! No to the chef though, I absolutely love cooking and would probably spend all my free, weather time doing so 😂 Maybe I’d even pursue a career as a chef on a super boat!

speaking of.. I’d love to afford to go on one of those ‘below deck’ super yachts.. what an experience that must be!

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:24

@CettePersonne 5Mil, plus a tenner so I can have a kfc to celebrate without dipping into the 5Mil straight away 😂

I'd ring my NHS manager and say au revoir I am resigning without notice. I would then take myself into a small room and scream with joy before ringing my kids!

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:25

@MalcolmTuckersSwearBox is there such a thing as an honest begging thread?!

I strictly live by “if you don’t ask you don’t get” so it’s worth a try!

I dream of winning big, not 1m but a whopper of 200million. God I'd love life. I'd be crazy for a while spending but I'd be sensible too.
Nice house, not too big like mansion size but cosy still. Lots of land. I'd rescue a load of animals and employee people yo help look after them. A local petting farm near me employees adults with learning difficulties, I'd love to do something like that.
My children to have a decent sized bedroom each. My own bathroom, cleaner and being able to just buy things without looking at the price first.

5YearsLeft · 03/04/2024 16:27

My best mate and I joke about this every so often. The Maldives sounds lovely, as do the five-star holidays and getaways in the sun, but I’m a bit past being able to physically do any of that at this point.

So all we want is a cottage in Scotland where I can sit and read my books until the end (joining @JamOnWeds secluded cottage group), and he can grow us some plants, and it’ll be far enough from other people, but still juuuust close enough to civilization that we could get Amazon and grocery deliveries. We’d get ourselves a huge Maine Coon cat that looked like a regal lion. And that’s pretty much enough for the rest of my life. If I could spend it with someone who cared about me, in surroundings I loved, where it would be easy to go out and walk every day. Oh, and we’d have a Quokker tap, ha. (Without Quokker: 4 cups of tea a day. With Quokker: 10 cups of tea a day. It just makes it so fast and easy!)

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:28

@superplumb ph that’s such a good idea! I live rurally and we don’t have much in the sense of attractions here, a petting zoo would be ace!

I bet the kids would love to live in the petting zoo too!

I’d buy my boss’s house. He can’t get divorced until he sells it and he’s pretty grumpy - which he tends to take out on me 🤣

then I’d book a hair cut, holiday, personal trainer and maybe some sort of health spa for a couple of weeks to kick start some weightloss.

HeadsShouldersTitsandArse · 03/04/2024 16:30

@5YearsLeft That sounds wonderfully cosy. A lovely way to live. Bloody love a main coon! That or a ragdoll.

How to make a small fortune?

Start with a large one and buy a horse 😄🏇

I’d buy the biggest local house I could. I’d pay someone to pack all my stuff and unpack and organise and label it all at the other end. I’d employment a gardener to make a fruit orchard, kitchen garden, pond - hell I might even employ a few. I’d employ a cleaner every single day.

Id but each of the children a local house about £350 K per house and rent them out for them but put them in their names. I would employ a personal trainer and spend my days, getting fit and counselling and therapy and life coaching.

coldcallerbaiter · 03/04/2024 16:40

You could have that sort of life with 3 mill.

1m house and 2m invested giving £80k income.

CactusMactus · 03/04/2024 18:05

I'd quite like a château in France with blue shutters... just a medium sized one with a pool.
