Any super kind millionaire want to share their fortune with me?

That’s it really.
Apologies if some were expecting a sob story, I don’t really have one to give.

I just want a life of luxury to be honest, I want to book a holiday to the Maldives in one of those water apartments. I want to afford my dream car and buy a nice, detached stone cottage with wrap around hedging, some land for goats and chickens and a large driveway. I want to be able to take myself off to London for the day and do a decent sized shopping haul of good quality clothes and nice jewellery (that don’t come from primark). I want to be able to get my highlights topped up every 6-8 weeks instead of every 6 months 😂

I also want to work less, employ a nanny and a cleaner.

I could play the lottery and try my own luck.. but I never even won a single game of pass the parcel as a child. Not once! So I can’t imagine I’ve got much luck in the winning department.

I’m looking for the easy route.. so if there are any multi-millionaires that don’t mind parting with a bit of dosh.. please consider me.

What luxuries would you do if you won say, 5 million+ ?

I love reading what others would do!🍾

Never met a kind millionaire

My second ( current) husband is a nice millionaire. My previous life was dreadful though so I not going to put him back on the market anytime soon.

I know they say money doesn't make you happy, but a lovely big house with no mortgage with a huge garden for the kids and chickens if they wanted them, not having to work and spending as much time with my kids as possible, taking my family on regular holidays, having a lovely swanky gym/spa membership and buying the best food without worrying about the cost would really help 😂

OwlCityisthemostunderrated · 03/04/2024 18:23

I only want about £3m.

£1m to give to a friend.

£1m to invest so I can live off the income and spend my days in the gym and the pool rather than chained to my desk for 12 hours per day slowly killing myself.

£1m as a rainy day fund.

All I want is 20k to finish off a house deposit. Just want a garden for my kids and a bedroom for my daughter who is sharing with us at present. Don't want to give up work, just help to complete the deposit savings!

I've been planning this for years. I would buy my old house back (had to sell cos of divorce), buy the house next door (semi detached), knock them together and have a massive beautiful gaff. It would be beautifully decorated (by someone with actual taste, not me!).
I would never cook again. Apart from maybe making cakes with the kids.
I'd buy a property each for the kids.
I'd send the kids to private school (if they wanted).
I'd buy a new car, I'd like something like a Skoda kodiac, big enough but not flash. Maybe the electric version as I'd have a driveway in my new (old) house.
I'd spend a month in the Mayr clinic in Austria getting slim and healthy.
I'd have a lady come to my house every week for a mani/pedi and massage.
Then I would set up a business of some kind. Maybe a social enterprise to fill the massive gap the tories have left in child and family services, maybe like a chain of Sure Start centres.
Great thread OP.

I would pay off the mortgage and give up work. It would be wonderful to retire and not worry about money so a decent pension would be good.

dontbelievewhatyousee · 03/04/2024 19:11

I have everything I wanted. Now I suppose I would choose to build something that would leave a mark on history forever.

Bovrilla · 03/04/2024 19:18

Holiday first. Not sure where, though. Beach, cocktails and luxury for a couple of weeks whilst I browse Rightmove.

Off home to the Lakes for a lovely cosy but big cottage. Buy some land. Breed Fell ponies and have a donkey or two. Spend my days pottering on the garden (but actually the gardener does that hard bit).

Save for the kids. Give some to family.

Give to local charities I think a lot of.

Book a boob reduction and uplift.

Open the shop I've always dreamed of

Buy my house off the landlord to give my disabled daughter security for the future. £200k.

That's all I need actually. Happy to work for everything else.

Anyone got £200k?! 😂

AUDHDVET · 03/04/2024 20:53

I’d hopefully have a family and not work so I could spend time with them. My dream is to be a mother

I dream of winning big, not 1m but a whopper of 200million. God I'd love life. I'd be crazy for a while spending but I'd be sensible too.
Nice house, not too big like mansion size but cosy still. Lots of land. I'd rescue a load of animals and employee people yo help look after them. A local petting farm near me employees adults with learning difficulties, I'd love to do something like that.
My children to have a decent sized bedroom each. My own bathroom, cleaner and being able to just buy things without looking at the price first.

I hope you win as you sound lovely Flowers

Would you consider sharing him?😂

seriously though, tell me about your life! I’ve never met anyone that’s even slightly wealthy 😂

I would give away 10 per cent to charitable causes. The Trussell Trust and Mind most likely. So five per cent each.

I would help my single parent friend who needs to buy a home for her and her daughter. Help her buy outright and clear her debts in full. Then I would help my school friend who I have known since we were age 15. She needs to retire but cannot afford to until age 67. We are both 60. I would also retire immediately.

I would buy ds a freehold two bed house in East London near where his dad's family live. God knows how much that would cost these days!

Then with the change I would finish off my house upgrades. Clear two small debts. Then see an independent financial adviser as to arranging a private income from the remaining sum.I

Once my house was in apple pie order I would do two hours a week local charity shop volunteering to give me a purpose. Possibly another morning working with asylum seekers in the neighbouring city. As I enjoy the international link.

We can all dream eh!!
