I've never really got into podcasts but I often hear people raving about them. So I'm looking for suggestions please to ease me into the magical world of Podcastery! My interests are gardening, womens issues, history, general interest really. Thank you.

Ezra klein. He's a NYY opinion columnist I think, his podcasts are really interesting. Nice voice too.

Thank you, ive just googled him, his podcasts look just the kind of current affairs i need. The voice is so important too - I could listen to (actor) Don Warrington just reading the phone book!

You can filter BBC Sounds by 'history'.

The History Hit ones are all really good (you don't need to subscribe, you just get adverts if you don't). 'Betwixt the Sheets' is my favourite but I enjoy them all.

DollyTubb · 31/03/2024 16:18

Wow thanks everyone, there's a whole new world out there!! One of the reasons I'm so behind the times is that until recently our internet has been abysmal and our mobile reception nonexistent so I'm a bit late to the world of inter-wifi. Lots to catch up on here!
