The things you see in B&M!

Not being rude here BTW I'm constantly in B&M and love it 😂

But you see some right sights.

Yesterday a woman came in with a TV bracket and said her TV doesn't fit. So she wanted to exchange it for the one she had brought to the till.

Supervisor asks for receipt, she doesn't have one, so he refuses to exchange.

She goes ballistic and just grabs the new one and runs out of the shop!

He gives chase and they stand at the entrance whilst she's howling for him to get away from her. He grabs the bracket from her.

She then comes back in to get the old bracket and starts shouting at him again!

Then in the toiletries ailse a bloke takes a spray can of deodorant, uses it on both pits and puts it back!! 🤢

I once saw a man put a 4 pack of smarties down his pants too.

Well considering that people moan and are outraged and complain when security guards look at them, and there was a thread a little while ago about someone being spoken to when witnessed putting some crisps in her bag and most people thought it was way out of line that happened, and that there's always the chance the person caught is going to turn violent, I'm not surprised that a lot go unchallenged to be honest.

I feel nervous when in a store and I need to go into my bag for a tissue or my phone etc. then put these items away again in my bag. I'm very much aware that in an office somewhere upstairs we the customers are all being watched on screens.

I also do a quick mental check before I leave a store to ensure I have not accidentally let any item through the checkout which might not be on my receipt. It's rare that I use a cashier as prefer self checkouts.

I've been "beeped" on leaving a shop and all heads turned to me. I was innocent I promise. 😵

Madness 😮😱

@WittiestUsernameEver It was the 80’s, and tbh I’d never heard the nomenclature until I met DH (an Old Hertfordian from Richard Hale), apparently a fond name for us that originated over there.

Confirmed by his many friends over the years. As for the next all girls’ school I’m aware, they’d alleged the road the school was on was aptly named as Hoe Lane.

Don’t worry, DH has been roundly bollocked for nearly 30 years.

People say that it was the closure of BAe in Hatfield in 1993 that started the decline of the town to its boring status; I maintain it was the fact my cohort were well into Uni by then and had drifted to the four corners of the world leaving Hatfield behind 😉.
