I've been pottering for the past few hours since getting up. Done some washing, some washing up, and tidied round. Now considering hoovering downstairs while the tea towels/cleaning cloths are in the washer.

Dd2 has been down, put away the pots & disappeared back up with breakfast. Dd1 hasn't surfaced yet!

I'm in wait mode 🤣 I'm off out for end of term drinks with colleagues who are also friends so killing time bitting and bobbing doing not much! Maybe a shower to kill some time should be next...

Not much! Had a throughly lazy morning. I am also meeting work colleagues for drinks tonight. DS16 is currently gaming. Just thinking about what to have for lunch.

Afternoon all.

Had a lovely bath, did hair, shaved legs etc, did nails and now I'm about to leave for the airport for a trip to Naples with a friend from work. Very excited!

Had a rare lie in whilst listening to a podcast
Popped out for milk
Put a wash on and then washed breakfast pots and cleaned kitchen
Currently catching up with some tv and having a coffee and hot cross bun
Dh is making spaghetti bolognese later for tea with ciabatta
Dd has a driving lesson
Probably watch a film later

We are having a day at home as we're all shattered and dd3 is full of the cold but still stoically revising for her A levels.
I've just made some scones for later and dh and I are planning on a walk but it's currently raining again!
Dd1 is home for Easter this evening and we may FaceTime dd2 and her partner later as dd2 is ill too so not coming for Easter.
Fish for dinner and a movie or game tonight.

DDogs and I have waded through the mud over the fields this morning. It’s stopped raining so laundry is on the line.
The dishwasher gave up on Monday morning and it’s replacement is arriving soon! It’s got Wi-Fi connection - no idea why this is needed.
It’s Good Friday so fish for dinner, just had smoked salmon for lunch.

I've been slowly, one section or room or space at a time, deep cleaning my hoiuse over the last week. Today is the dreaded kitchen. I've just taken a break to have some lunch.

I used to clean house top and bottom weekly. Then stopped in the pandemic. I didn't mind for a long time but it's been getting me down lately, so my goal is to get everything back to pristine levels and then re-institue a weekly clean. Nearly there!

I always think I've done sod all but when I list it -

Up at the crack of dawn (unintentional - just woke up that early)
Washload on (now hanging on line)
Put last night's washed pots away
Stripped bed
Did 30 mins yoga
Had a 30 minute bout of of creative inspiration with my slow-stitch journal cover
Tidied the living room
Emptied the bins
Stuck a hair dye on
Just had/having a bite to eat and a cuppa

Then I'll be -

Getting a shower and washing the hair dye off and getting dressed properly
Hoovering and mopping downstairs
Cutting the grass
Meeting my friend for a walk
Clean bedding on
Laundry ironed and away
Possibly a siesta
Probably some more slow-stitch
Evening meal
Prep for tomorrow's walking group walk
Pot wash
Watch garbage on telly


Ironically, I'm enjoying the fact I haven't got a day of pre-booked commitments!

Met a friend for coffee and breakfast this morning. Went into the Greggs outlet shop and bought cheap sausage rolls and doughnuts. Will nip to Tesco later then a Friday night drink and slobbing on the sofa.

Off to BILs in an hour for the Great Egg Swap with nieces and nephews etc. DD not going as revising for A levels and DS still at uni (sports ball tomorrow night). So we are going to a family event child free which feels very odd.

Had a nice morning shopping for flowers and planning food for DSs return and itinerary for big family holiday in the early summer.

Have wondered around the house in pjs drinking tea this morning and gone back to bed for a quick snooze. Dh walked the dogs. Have friends coming over for coffee this afternoon then out to the Theatre this evening with DH. Young adult DS in Copenhagen for Easter with friends. Younger DD in Australia with friends for goodness knows how long so no Easter with my kids which I feel sad about, but will catch up with Dsis her kids and my parents on Sunday for lunch.

Going to get Wingspan out soon, not played it yet and it's got "eggs" in it so seems a perfect weekend to crack (ha ha see what I did there) open.

Afternoon, lucysmam and all,

Got some washing on the line fairly early this morning but it's clouding over now, so I'm getting them in to go on the Sheila maid.

FaceTimed with my sister in Ireland and caught up on everything.

I made Eggs Benedict for brunch and DH has got a beef pot roast in the slow cooker for later.

This afternoon I will be listening to the St John Passion on the radio.

Don't know what might be going on this evening, we might watch a film, or I'm in the middle of about three books.

Somewhere in there, I'm making a massive macaroni cheese for tomorrow, to take to an event that my coven are hosting with the local pagans.

I woke up about 4am but lay in bed until 9am, listening to an excellent audio book.

I've sorted out the laundry, made a huge batch of leek and potato soup, put away my shopping delivery and have tidied up ready for the cleaner to come tomorrow.

Now, I'm going to have a glass of wine and watch a film with my feet up.

I'm waiting for the dog to wake up to take her a walk. I'm worrying that she might be ill rather than tired though so checking vet opening hours. Have a chicken roasting which will hopefully get her moving, we are having it with chips and salad later. Lazy day here today.

We are off to a kids Easter thing shortly then meeting family for a pub dinner. See, I should be happy but I'm silently seething about everything and every one. Roll on bedtime

I was up at 8, had breakfast, a shower, watched tv. Then, changed my bed, hoovered the bedroom, spare room, landing and stairs. Had the washer on 3 times. Some is out on the line, other stuff on a clothes horse. Make an omelette for lunch, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. That's enough.

Been into town with my eldest, spent a bit of money on boots and clothes. Had a hot chocolate and crumpets while out. Now relaxing for a bit before going out again.

Not much because it won't stop bloody raining!!!! Had an hour of lord of the rings monopoly this morning Dh and eldest gone out to watch football so taking youngest to acquire easter eggs when his film is finished currently cuddling the dog.

Its unusually warm and sunny here.

Our son is stuffing himself with sweets, here at easter children dress as witches and exchange drawings and letters for sweets. He spent the morning with friends who were whipping each other with twigs, another common tradition.

I can’t tell if our daughter is over tired or coming down with something, she has been unusually grumpy today, so thats a fun waiting game for us.

Changed the beds, did some washing, now doing absolutely nothing as the weather is horrendous and I refuse to leave the house. I'll drown.

Went out earlier to get some mint and lemons and it was absolute chaos in the car park for the supermarket. Have been wanting to go to the gym all day but it's been weeknight busy all day so even if I got parked there would be no space to do anything or free machines.

So have done absolutely nothing that I wanted.

Grandson stayed over last night.. we didn't wake until 9am.
I had a cuppa.. he went on his laptop..
I had scrambled eggs on toast.. he had toast..
I emptied dishwasher and changed bedding then had a shower.. put a wash on..
We then played scrabble... and draughts and read his book on foxes..
His Mum picked him up.. fetched me some shopping..
I had planned on smoked haddock for tea.. but I've come over not very well with all my lymph nodes hurting in neck.. armpits and groin.. so I'm laid on bed with cat.. on my phone

Had a small lie in and then headed to my massage appointment which was excellent as always. Ds spent the morning gaming and out playing basketball. I then did the housework top to bottom and stripped and hoovered the beds. Now out at the hairdresser getting ds haircut. Wine and a takeaway tonight once dh gets in from work
