I've been pottering for the past few hours since getting up. Done some washing, some washing up, and tidied round. Now considering hoovering downstairs while the tea towels/cleaning cloths are in the washer.

Dd2 has been down, put away the pots & disappeared back up with breakfast. Dd1 hasn't surfaced yet!

I'm in wait mode 🤣 I'm off out for end of term drinks with colleagues who are also friends so killing time bitting and bobbing doing not much! Maybe a shower to kill some time should be next...

Enjoying a day off. Slept in for a bit, did some vacuuming and ironing. Picked up a bookcase from the post office and took DD to her friend's house, did the food shop on my way home. Now cooking some cheese and veg pasties for dinner (ready made, just need to cook them - bought a massive box full to raise money for DD's volleyball team) and going to have a board game night tonight.

DS is supposed to be tidying the playroom but instead he's making a bigger mess there. That's tomorrow's problem, can't be bothered to deal with it now.

Got up relatively early and checked on the boys as DS1 had a sleepover in the garden room last night, all was peaceful so took coffee back up to bed for me and DP.

Came down and opened Chelsea’s weekend Cafe (Special opening, usually Saturday mornings only!) made bacon, eggs etc to order.
DS1’s friend went home.

Tidied kitchen while DP walked dog and then we were going to go to the garden centre and then KFC but alas, DP is on call and it suddenly got busy so I just went to pick up KFC with no garden centre 😓(DS1&2 were delighted!)

Chicken and Chorizo Jambalaya for dinner tonight and then a quiet one as DP is on call all weekend. There’s nothing to stop me having a glass or two of wine but I do try to abstain in sympathy with him.

I've had a pottering day too - did some cleaning, ironing and put laundry away this morning and made Easter rocky road, had a late shower, lunch and read my book, then walked down to the doctor with ds1 to see if it was open - he needs a sick note for his (zero hours, part time) job as he tore his shoulder playing rugby. He's been putting off going all week and of course they aren't open today as it's Good Friday.
We're off to friends' this evening for dinner, which will be nice.

Hello @lucysmam I was wondering if you had done a thread today. Hope you enjoy your drinks today.

We've had a quiet morning then church at lunch and this afternoon (the same service we didn't go twice!) lunch altogether then the good Friday service.

Home now, I've hung a load of washing up to dry (standard) it's thunder and lightning here. I'm about to get my comfies on and declare the hot cross buns can be officially opened! We are all lazing around after church and it's lovely and cosy. Might put a wax melt on in a bit.

Fish pie for tea, always have fish on good Fri, I think the DC were hoping for takeaway fish and chips but ah well!

DH and I are having a board games night tonight 🙂

I have a wisdom tooth infection. Thankfully I was able to get some AB yesterday otherwise I'd be utterly stuffed.

Maxed out on co-codamol and Ibuprofen (as well as feeling iffy from the Metronidazole!) so I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself.

Kids are out with grandparents today, DP working and I've batch cooked, baked some cakes, done 2 lots of washing, picked up a parcel and done a quick top up shop. I'm now back in PJ's and trying to find something I fancy (and can manage) to eat.

Hopefully an early night and hopefully I get more sleep than I did last night.

I seem particularly jinxed with BH as I've had a UTI over a previous Easter weekend and I've had tonsillitis over a 4 day Christmas holiday. My body hates me!!

Hi @lucysmam & everyone - Happy Easter. Typical that when I was able to have a lie in, I was really suffering pain wise so got up at around 7.30. Was in town by 9 only to find that most of the shops didn’t open til 10, including Boots which was where I wanted to go for the pharmacy. Popped across to Asda and, you’ve guessed it, their pharmacy also opened at 10! Back into town & bought a couple of cards whilst I was waiting & some stamps. Then back to Asda pharmacy & joined a queue of over a dozen people. Out over 2 hours altogether. Then out to meet DSiL for lunch. Lovely company; lunch a bit disappointing as I ordered potato skins with cheese, bacon, spring onions & sourcream dip & got chips with only a thin layer of the other ingredients. Probably should have sent it back. Afterwards we popped into M & S (the pub is opposite an out of town shopping centre) & I spent some birthday money on a pretty ring. Unloaded & loaded the dishwasher when I got home. DD15 is at her girlfriend’s. DH is currently clearing rubbish out of her room & has brought down a pile of dirty clothes. DH & I are going to see a show tonight. Possibly stopping off for Burger King on the way. It feels like a Saturday so I’m going to be confused for the next couple of days - nothing new there! Have been very restrained in my chocolate consumption although did eat a few Lindt mini eggs yesterday.
