Husband has never seen me totally naked?

So it is exactly what it is. Been with DH 12 years and married half that time (we met very young) and I've always had body image issues. I was very slim when we met, 5'5 and 8.5 stone and am now 13.5 LOL (I just had a baby). But it's just hit me he has never ever seen me naked. I've always had a vest top on, or some lingerie that covers my belly or did the deed in the dark. He is AMAZING and showers me with love and compliments and affe tion daily, the spark is very much there. I just cannot bare to be naked infront of him (or anyone haha). I've never changed clothes infront of my sisters, mum, best friend etc. Anyone else relate or am I the only weirdo

Surely this really effects your sex life. I just can't imagine it.

I think if it’s not an issue for your DH or you then try not to worry too much about it OP. I have to say I’m really impressed that you managed to get all the way through pregnancy without “baring all”, I’m 9 months pregnant now and my poor husband has now officially been promoted to my leg (and everything else🤣) shaver, I think he’d probably rather not see all of me😂😂

I am a naked person. I don't care, I will happily walk around naked. My husband is like you. I've never seen him naked walking around or showering etc. I used to think it was weird but now I don't think about it at all (until reading this thread!)

I don't care if DH sees me naked, I gave birth totally naked 3 times.

But, I cannot bear to be seen whilst having sex. I get too self conscious (and no need, DH thinks I'm gorgeous and tells me all the time) but for me that release of inhibition just isn't something I can do. It's darkness, or nothing for me.

Shower sex. Tried it a couple of times.

First time was in a normal shower cubicle and neither of us enjoyed the feeling of our arses against the glass. 2nd was up one end of a bath and it was v squashed and neither of us wanted the wet curtain sticking onto us so didn't bother again.

Last and final time was away on holiday in a massive stone wet room (in our hotel room bathroom). There was room enough for about 10 people in there so we gave it a go (the 2 of us, not with 10 people obvs), and we still couldn't get it right 😂 One of us was always coming into too much contact with the cold walls and we gave up, dried off and went to the nice big bed.

@Mrsttcno1 I'm actually surprisingly flexible 🤣 I was in labour and I'm a ftm but I thought it was just really bad belly ache so I jumped into the shower and shaved everything not knowing I was going to give birth 5 hours later

I’m the same OP. DP has never seen me fully naked. My thighs are my insecurity, like a PP I feel deformed. I would never walk around in front of him, or anyone, naked.

Some women very comfortable in their bodies. Im same as you op.

You must be much more flexible than me🤣 I have tried my best up to now but I officially cannot see down there or reach down there over my bump so poor DH has had to step up 🤣

Personally, l would describe myself as 40s and highly average, but l think l look as good undressed as dressed, I really don’t mind who sees me naked. Around 50% of the population have bodies similar to ours.

Are you relaxed naked in front of a mirror?

It's a shame for you that you constantly have this to think about. DH sees me naked a lot, we mostly have sex nude but sometimes underwear.

I've never stood in front of him naked. We may have had sex completely naked a few times but under the covers ornin the dark.

I'm just not comfortable with it.

OP I totally can relate.I am the same.It's not even because I feel ashamed of my body or anything....walking around naked and being looked at naked just gives me the ick- makes me feel too exposed.

I have zero worries about my husband never seeing me naked and I wear the same in bed: cami with boobs out and it doesn't affect us at all, in fact I like retaining a bit of mystery.

OP, based off of your comments I just wanted to say that you seem like such a lovely, understanding person. There's nothing wrong with you or your relationship, I hope you eventually come to appreciate your beautiful body.

OP I can relate. You say you've been naked from waist down and waist up so he knows what you look like, just not seen it all in one go. And even in the dark we can make things out, so he has seen you. Stop worrying. He clearly adores you and he's not missing out.
