Watching The Breakfast Club for the first time in about 30 years. Had forgotten how utterly gorgeous Judd Nelson was in this.

Whatever happened to him?

He was in another less well known 80s film called Making The Grade just before St Elon's Fire and Breakfast Club. Definitely one of my girlhood crushes! Those eyes.

Also Rob Lowe was/still is just ridiculously beautiful! Currently rewatching The West Wing!

I thought her character was the epitome of the queen bee girl. the opposite of cool.

Ewww not for me, I never liked his huge nostrils. Rob Lowe was cute though.

How bizarre. I would say he was actually on the very plain side. I don’t like ‘ranking’ humans on attractiveness generally but seeing as it’s the subject of the thread he’d be a 3 for me.
Always good to be reminded there a lid for every pot.

Some people look attractive when they are young but if you study their facial structure you can see they won't age well.

Youth covers all manner of peculiarities. Weak jaw, beaky nose, close set eyes etc. it all gets more exaggerated as we age.

Those who were actually structurally beautiful when they were young tend to age well.

I was thinking this as I was watching last night! Equally Emilio Estevez. Having an easy afternoon watching Pretty in Pink today and Andrew McCarthy doesn't do it for me but I always feel sorry for poor Duckie!

Hated The Breakfast Club. Didn't recognise any of the characters nor did I want to emulate any of them.
The Terminator was much more my 80's thing.

I still have a crush on him in that movie. It's the style as well that I like (and usually the type of guy I go for) the grungey shirts and boots, and the floppy hair.

Although I really hate the scene when the 5 of them are all talking upstairs in the library. I always feel it’s been really badly edited, that his character just goes off on Claire then quickly comes round again. Weird

I also think it's worse if you remember them as outstandingly pretty/handsome though because fate seems crueler.
I saw a "now" photo of some of the year below me at school. One looked especially aged. It was a shock to realise that was the prettiest girl in the year if not the school. And she was lovely so it wasn't that crap about inside ugliness showing through.

Not sure if I should feel bad she doesn't look good now she's early 50's or not worry as she had exceptional looks when it counted the most.

And Matt Dillon was the object of my lust.

@Everyoneesleistheproblem I'm the same. I've tried to watch the Breakfast Club so many times since it came out... just cannot get through it. It's just awful! Don't understand what the fuss is about.

His nostrils flared a bit.
But he had a lovely long coat iirc and a scarf.
Not sure why - hardly bad boy attire but looked good.
Stormy Weathers was an excellent film.
Umbrella Academy - last season - lad that plays 5 now twenty and reminded me of him, might have been the hair.

Same. Her character was the spoiled rich girl. Not cool at all.
