How long does a tub of table salt last you?

We have just finished one, the tall Saxa one, and I can't remember how long we have had it. I think more than 2 years though. I was saying to my DH that I don't know how they make a profit, and he thought other households go through them more quickly. So, just wondering, what is others usage? Trivial I know!

i suspect mine is probably at least 10 years old! I have sea salt in the grinder but even that hardly gets used.

I was thinking of writing the date on this one and monitoring because I really don't know how long we had it

Many years BUT I also have flaked Maldon salt which I use much more often.

Years. Last bought a Saxa tub for rinsing when I had a tooth out and that must be at least ten years ago. Don't use table salt in cooking at all.

No idea, mine isn't even Saxa it's Asda own brand. It's mainly used for deicing the door step these days.

For ever! I don't use salt in cooking or add it to food (health reasons) but always have some for visitors. I'm very much a 'herb girl' though.

I regularly buy the massive tubs of Maldon sea salt. I season everything when cooking from scratch, though. I dread to think what unseasoned cooking is going on around here 😭

We moved here nearly 8 years ago, we’ve bought one salt in all that time. I’ve just bought a new salt (one of these ) in anticipation of the old one finishing, although I bought it before Christmas and the old one is still going strong.

Used to last years but we get through it quicker since we got a pizza oven and make the dough, it requires quite a lot of salt.

Years and years. I actually don't think i've ever got to the bottom of one but then I also have sea salt which I use more in cooking.

Lots of people avoid salt because of health reasons but it really makes a HUGE difference to the taste quality when you're cooking from scratch. I never really realised until I started properly seasoning dishes.
