What’s the first chocolate that you reach for in a box?

Assuming that you like chocolates.

I love most but I’ll usually go for the fruit or mint creams and the Turkish Delight.

What’s your favourite?

Orange for me

FortunataTagnips · 24/03/2024 13:22

Praline

BaronessBomburst · 24/03/2024 13:23

Lemon, if there is one. I love lemon with chocolate.

Anything nutty. I really don't like the soft centres - strawberry, orange, coffee etc.

skilpadde · 24/03/2024 13:25

I always work through a box from the chocolate I expect to like least to the one I expect to like most.

The one I save for last would probably be some kind of cherry liqueur and gooey caramel choc.

Orange for me

I’m fighting you for it.

Edited

Me too, I love the chocolate nut ones, especially toasted hazelnut or almond.

It depends if I like the person I'm sharing them with. If I do, I'd start with the least liked (e.g. fudge) so they get some good ones. If I am indifferent, I go for the pralines and caramels.

If I'm at work, and there are the standard Roses etc, I go for caramel/nut ones, even though I prefer the creams, because the creams always get left to last and then I get twice as much.

Strategy :)

I do the same as @skilpadde ! Though if we lived together we'd never have to eat our least favourite as I'd do ones like cherry liquor first and my favourite one be one with fudge or caramel in it

EmilyPlay · 24/03/2024 13:29

Fudge

Fluffy40 · 24/03/2024 13:29

Anything with truffle or nuts

LemonySnickets · 24/03/2024 13:30

Turkish delight too! 😋

Then anything with nuts.

Berlinlover · 24/03/2024 13:30

Dark chocolate or one of the fruit ones.

RenoDakota · 24/03/2024 13:31

The one with soft caramel in.
Then the orange one.

DramaAlpaca · 24/03/2024 13:31

Dark chocolate truffle

Riverlee · 24/03/2024 13:32

Fudge, chocolate or praline. Creams will always be last.

Mamette · 24/03/2024 13:34

Marzipan! Hard to find chocolates that have any these days though.

MyLadyTheKingsMother · 24/03/2024 13:36

Chocolate praline, then coffee, then orange cream

HollyKnight · 24/03/2024 13:37

The strawberry and the orange soft centres. Everything else can get in the bin.

WhatsitWiggle · 24/03/2024 13:37

Strawberry cream 😋

Yiayoula · 24/03/2024 13:37

Coffee cream - though these don’t seem to feature much these days.
Used to love the Lime Barrel from the Milk Tray boxes, gone but not forgotten !

Cantfindthewordsddstruggling · 24/03/2024 13:38

Anything caramel/fudge or with nuts

GigiAnnna · 24/03/2024 13:39

Depends on the box but I love any soft centres, whether fruit cream or praline. I hate anything really hard or chewy.

CanapeJane · 24/03/2024 13:39

How could I forget coffee creams? I also love rose and violet creams.

Orange especially if it’s dark chocolate. Caramel or toffee next. Praline or truffles or nuts then coffee and white chocolate last obviously.
