A reminder for new players that you can zoom in for details - which means that even if you got a different brand of indoctrination in 'listen to this it's interesting' when young and didn't immediately recognise the Hg, a close inspection would have revealed the O**c rings on her side.

Only discovered this the other day but today so this is a clear case of beginners luck.

Oh I've just realised your asterisks weren't for a single letter each. Got it! Yes. I knew it was "Hg" but didn't know what year that was so took a wild stab in the dark. Rings wouldn't have helped me at all but knowing I can't zoom in is very helpful! So far I refuse to Google dates for things as I'm considering that "cheating" 🤣

The rings surely would have helped - the Nazi Olympics is one of those burned-in dates. I think. It's interesting the different things we got bombarded with in history, not just in school but generally. I did understand why Arthur Griffith's funeral and Collins carrying the coffin didn't resonate for people outside Ireland, but the H-g used to get a lot of air time, largely because of the eyewitness radio / newsreel report of the crash.

Not for me! Isn't it funny the things we consider basic knowledge and others are clueless about 🤣

It is. All the sport and even more so the motor sport ones for me, total guesswork, often decades out. And then there's guessing the wrong war . . .
