Just trying to redress the balance!
What are the things that everyone raves about that are actually amazing?
I need to unburden myself because on the thread I have referenced in the title, someone actually said David Bowie, Scotland and Tea…Three things I could not actually live without, that are actually superb and should have never been mentioned.
So tell me your wonderful things that are actually really wonderful and we can all feel better!

I think that's genetic. The coriander, I mean, not Abba Voyage.

🤣 yes, wasn’t sure exactly why but knew it was a thing!

Pineapple on pizza is fine.

I keep little pots of pineapple chunks in the fridge to add onto any pizza I get delivered. They never add enough and it’s so damn good!

PossumintheHouse · 21/03/2024 19:24

For those of you loving pineapple on pizza, I urge you to try ham, (extra) pineapple and jalapeño pizza. The flavours complement each other so well and it is incredible.

@coxesorangepippin I wave from “just down the road” in Canmore, Alberta.

Thanks for this thread, the other one was so joyless and miserable!

Fannyfiggs · 21/03/2024 19:28

All animals, every single one of them. But cats and horses deserve their own mention. My life wouldn't have been the same without my beautiful cats and horses.

Scotland but I'm biased because I live there!

Beautiful bright sunny days with a clear blue sky what a mood lifter

Trees all trees but monkey puzzle trees always make me smile

Good managers your manager can make or break your career (and spirit), it's actually rare to have a good manager so I'm always so grateful when I do (I don't at the moment)

Sage7 · 21/03/2024 19:36

painauchoc512 · 21/03/2024 19:37

I didn't see the other thread but I love this thread so much! And I appreciate pretty much everything everyone has mentioned above. Special shout out to good coffee, spring flowers and mini eggs! Oh, and Scotland. The north west coast is as beautiful as anywhere I've ever visited.

bluecomputerscreen · 21/03/2024 19:41

LovelyTheresa · 21/03/2024 19:53

Matcha, it's gorgeous
Musicals (not all of them, but a lot are amazing)
Air Fryer
Bowie
Cold water swimming
Coffee

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 21/03/2024 19:53

Northumberland. Especially on a blowy day when the beaches have lots of wet, happy dogs and windswept people who are laughing about their bobble hats nearly being blown away. Who cares if the weather is a bit shit, it's a joy to watch happy dogs and to watch how much their owners enjoy them.

Also, Toblerone.

MrsPeannut · 21/03/2024 19:56

Dubai.

First went 12 years ago and hated it as found it fake and tacky.

Going again as a family, we really like it. Great for small children, especially getting taxis with car seats and everywhere you go accommodating food allergies with no bother.

NotNowNorman · 21/03/2024 20:02

Daffodils - Wordsworth was NOT WRONG. They're so simple and unassuming, yet those dense banks of golden sunshine bursting into life on the most boring bits of municipal infrastructure, like roundabouts and dual carriageways, bring a burst of joy into everyone's commute. What other cut flower is so cheap and so instantly cheering? And outside they helpfully divide and multiply all on their own. I think, subs, pls check Even their leaves are a perfect flat green.

On a similar note, the western Lake District (Wasdale, Eskdale, etc) calms the soul with its quiet beauty, especially in the late autumn/very early spring.

And I don't care what retrospective snark goes on, the 2012 London Olympics were brilliant. I've never seen Londoners so spontaneously communicative on the tube. It was the exact opposite of London's weird mood during the Princess Diana mourning week.

Motherproblem101 · 21/03/2024 20:07

More love for:

Cats
The Traitors
Hot sunny days in the garden
David Bowie
France

Trixiefirecracker · 21/03/2024 20:09

So much love for daffodils!

SqueakyDinosaur · 21/03/2024 20:28

More love for daffodils. I'm constantly amazed that you can get a bunch for £1, and fill a big jug for a fiver.
My wonderfully comfortable bed.
Cats AND dogs!
Foreign supermarkets. Just wandering around looking at the stuff people buy.
Evenings getting lighter.

ButtockUp · 21/03/2024 20:31

Salt and pepper chips, golden retrievers and wine.
