ordered Mounjaro for weight loss and received it but not started it yet. Can anyone who is on it tell me how you are getting on with it for weight loss and any side effects etc.
I am hoping to start today so any useful information would be a great help .

I started yesterday - it was painless and I haven’t had any side effects, but food cravings have gone. I hope I continue feeling like this!

lia88xxx · 22/03/2024 21:49

I just started on Tuesday as well. I haven't had side effects like sickness etc but I am FREEZING! I am usually always in shorts and t shirt but I'm having to wear a dressing gown and socks.

I'm not going to weigh myself until Tuesday but fingers crossed it's doing something x

I have just started mounjaro this week and I am looking to loose 4.5 stone Has anyone else lost this much and if so how long did it take?

TimeIretired · 03/04/2024 21:36

I took dose 3 on Friday 2.5mg. Lost 5lb first week but nothing week 2, in part from having chronic constipation! I’m hoping the after effects of taking a laxative will show on the scales this weekend. I’m also freezing. I have always been a bit ‘nesh’ but I’m almost dithering! Good to read how everyone else is doing.
move to 5mg next week but also going on two weeks holiday - still undecided whether to take my one or miss a week. I’ll take one on the day we go and could then miss a week and take one on the day I get back - any established users advice welcome. Thanks.

Second dose today. Lost 7 lbs in first week. Delighted. Very little side effects very little feeling like I want to eat. Have eaten healthy all week and even had a drink on 3 nights. Onwards and upwards !

Thanks, I used this code today. Do you just cancel after you receive the order? As I understand 2nd month order is much more expensive than other places.

Hey there! It’s great to see you’re about to start your Mounjaro journey—exciting times ahead! I remember when I first got my hands on it; I was eager yet a bit nervous, just like you. The first few weeks were a bit of an adjustment, but honestly, it was a game-changer for my weight loss journey. I started noticing changes after just a couple of weeks. My cravings became less intense, and I felt fuller faster, which was a huge win because I had always struggled with portion control. One thing to keep in mind is to be patient with yourself as your body adjusts to the medication. For me, the first side effect I experienced was mild nausea, especially in the mornings, but it usually settled after a week or so. Drinking plenty of water and eating smaller meals throughout the day helped a lot with that.
As for the weight loss, I was pleasantly surprised! Within the first month, I had dropped about 5 kg, and I could see a visible difference in how my clothes fit. It wasn’t just about the numbers on the scale; I felt more energetic and motivated to keep going. But let’s keep it real—there were some off days. The main challenge I faced was dealing with some mood swings, which I didn’t expect. Some days I was irritable for no reason, but I found that regular exercise and sticking to a routine helped level me out. A tip that worked wonders was keeping a little food journal to track what I was eating and how I was feeling each day. It helped me notice patterns and make small adjustments. You’re on the right track by starting today, and trust me, the results will speak for themselves! Good luck, and take it one step at a time—you’ve got this!

I use voy and they are legit. Before buying from them I also did the whole Google to confirm, as I was worried to be a fake site.
I have a code that gives you 35% if you decide to go with them.

Through pharmacies/ sites: Boots, Voy, etc.
You will need to do an online consultation with them, send pictures and tell your GP about getting the medication. If they see you need it (based in your BMI and medical history), you will get it.
Mounjaro is just injectable.
Hope this helps you. ;)

That's really helpful. Thank you. They make you send pictures? Why?

I'm definitely tempted as I've been overweight for 20+ years and I just can't seem to sort it. I have 6-7 stone to lose.

Slightly worried about what it says about potential side effects for the thyroid, pancreas and eyes but I guess the side effects of staying so overweight are pretty dangerous too.

You are very welcome.
I guess they ask for pictures are people can lie about being overweight.
I would contact them and see about the thyroid and pancreas. If you have any problems that can be aggravated by the medicine. Otherwise I would contact your GP and ask your doctor.
It is definitely a tricky situation to chose what is better or worse.

Lifeasweknowitisrandom · 06/10/2024 08:03

Thanks. Definitely worth thinking about.

Uf035 · 06/10/2024 10:12

Thankyou for replying I have requested from asda pharmacy and physically present one and much satisfied option I choose don't wanna risk my body for saving few bugs from voy (sorry)they do sound good. Anyhow everyone providing weight loss injections is asking for id proof.so I would always suggest go with boots or Asda or anyother real pharmacies.

People definitely need to go for the supplier they feel is best and it’s a safe option for them.
I believe all these suppliers, including Voy, ask for ID, pictures and GP. I would not go for someone that is different. It’s not worth the risk.

Lifeasweknowitisrandom · 06/10/2024 14:31

My concern would be staying on it for life. I could afford it for about a year but for life I definitely couldn't.
