Check your Sainsbury's delivery

They have system glitches and loads will not be able to be delivered today according to an employee I spoke to this morning.
Just a heads up in case you need to make alternative arrangements.

DH has just messaged to say there are issues in store as well and they are only taking cash.

There's a message on the app too saying there won't be any deliveries and they can't contact anyone.

Seems odd McDonald's had issues yesterday too

Slightly different issue. Mine had half of someone else's gorceries plus mine. They didn't show on the delivery drivers call sheet! I could have just accepted it.

Anyway he had said it happened 3 x that morning. Think it was a packing problem over a system error. He was frazzled the poor guy!

Mine turned up but the driver said that we were one of the lucky few.

I did my shopping 7.30. They were taking chip & PIN but not contactless and Apple Pay. Hand held scanners not working so had to queue for a till.

Did you get an email receipt first? Luckily we aren't desperate so can play the waiting game (it's due this evening) but curious on our chances

My delivery is due between 9.30 and 10.30. No email receipt and no money taken out of our account. I’m not hopeful.

Oh bums! Mines not due until between 12 and 1 but no emailed receipt so no shopping for me. I wonder how soon they'll rearrange.

I'm glad I've seen this as I'm due a delivery this afternoon and was wondering why o hadn't had an email with the receipt.
Not sure whether to order for tomorrow now.

Ours is due between 10 and 11. No receipt so far, and no money taken here either, so not optimistic.

Can't get through on the phones either, they must be having a nightmre in the call centre this morning.

oh you poor thing. I hope you can get something sorted. I would order elsewhere or go to the shops, you can always refuse the order if it arrives & you can't use it. I suspect we'd have a week of party food!!

They've said it was a software update overnight which has caused the issues.

They've confirmed on Twitter that personal details are safe.

I had to run out first thing and my (large) Sainsburys was only able to accept cash so it's an issue affecting all card payments (online and instore!)

Hope its fixed for tomorrow 🙏 😬

BBC says they are accepting chip & pin payment but this wasn't the case earlier. Maybe it's changed now but it was cash only instore at about 8.30am!!
