What age did you speak your 1st word?

I’m 63 and am moderately gifted. My 1st word was mom in a clear voice at 4 months old. Then 1 week later the 2 words hi mom in an extremely clear voice. The doctor at the time told my mom she’d never seen anything like it. Needless to say I was placed in the gifted program at 6 years old courtesy of my kindergarten teacher. Just wondering when was your 1st word?

Mine was ‘ramekin’ at the age of two weeks. By five years old I was translating the Bible from the original Arameic. At seven I could recite the entire Spice Girls back catalogue including b-sides, dance moves and all. At nine I was voted into the United Nations as my own member state. At the age of 40 I am now Jeremy Clarkson’s stunt double and a part-time nun. Thanks for asking.

What five? I’d have expected biblical translation at 3 years old at the very latest! 😂

First word was fuck off at 6 months then onto drug dealing at 5, my own mini assassin cartel by 9. I could clean and reload an Ak47 in under 60 seconds and Pablo Escobar used to write me fan mail.

I have long since retired and am
now a Head Teacher at a selective Catholic primary school.

I said 'hi mum, nice to finally meet you' at 2 minutes old.

I shouted ‘I’m here’ as I came down the birth canal. True story.

I have never spoken. I could play piano from 6m and have since communicated using the medium of song.

I'm not sure on first word but I only said single words until I was three and I taught myself to read at the same age.

I used BSL to say 'a little tight on space' on my 12 week sonogram.

9 months. First word was Gran. By 14 months I was speaking in full sentences. But that’s pretty commonplace when you live in a large extended family and have lots of people talking at you. DS was also 9 months and his first word was poo 5 seconds before he did one lol. Then dada then mummy. He carried on like like this until we potty trained him at 12 mths and that’s when he started to speak in sentences.

Apparently I was chatting shit about a monkey toy at Christmas (born in April) my mam also said I used to freak people out on buses because I could talk and was tiny.

Then again one of my kids didn't say a word until 2+ and can deffo talk now he's doing his A levels.

Mine was the conversation I had with the sperm at conception. I had to make sure it was a suitable sperm after all.
