I am good at spelling. Can do really long words. But two words I can never spell, no matter how hard I try:

Brocolli and cappucino

Necessary: Never Eat Celery Eat Super Sprouts And Remain Young.

Or 'never eat caviar eat smoked salmon and remain young'

SlightlyJaded · 12/03/2024 19:26

But that doesn't even work. Where's the 'A'?? Maybe doesn't it ACTUALLY run blah blah blah....?

Sorry it should have been ‘doesn’t it ALWAYS run really horribly over each ankle ‘

I can’t even get that right 🤣🤣

ImNotCrazyIWasTested · 12/03/2024 19:37

Diarrhoea and Bolanaise. When I was a child I saw this written somewhere to help spell necessary and it stuck with me.

Never
Eat
Chocolate
Eat
Salmon
Sandwiches
And
Remain
Young

Walkingtheplank · 12/03/2024 19:38

Separately. I always have an e as the middle vowel when I first type it.

FairisleFairy · 12/03/2024 19:38

i always used to spell separate as seperate, but not anymore since I picked up a tip from a poster on here - “there’s A RAT in separate”

Miloandfreddy · 12/03/2024 19:38

Reschedule

Chrysanthemum. I have to really think about it.

I don't have to write/type it often, if at all, though 😂

@TheChippendenSpook
Practice is the noun; to practise is the verb (in BrE)

I know one is the verb but it's remembering which is which. Maybe I can remember that an 's' is more dynamic/ has more movement - so it's the verb.

Etherealcelestialbeing · 12/03/2024 19:33

Squirel
Squirell
Squirrell
Squirrel

Is one of this correct?

I once went for a teaching interview and had to sit a reading paper all about bloomin squirrels! I'm amazed they actually gave me the job afterwards

The last one is.

I've read that it's even harder to get a word right when you've seen it spelt incorrectly. So trying to spell something can make it even harder to get it right because you end up baffling yourself.

Someone has maybe already said this but for broccoli, I remember it’s 1 stem (the L) and 2 little heads (the 2 Cs)!

Mine is repetition. Always want to stick an a in it!
