Which film will you sit and watch when you find it whilst flicking through channels, even though you've seen it a hundred times?

Mine is The Talented Mr Ripley - I love it.

Hate To think how many late nights I've had due to that film.

Anyone else do this?

The Godfather 1 & 2. Then I realise they are so long, but I stay up till the end everytime.

Predator. Just for the moment when Arnie out smarts the creature by covering himself in river mud.

MagpieCastle · 10/03/2024 23:24

cakeorwine · 11/03/2024 07:24

I've found my people. So many films on here that I can just watch.

Love some of the old Ealing classics.

Sound of Music
2012
Ice Cold in Alex
The Day after Tomorrow
Mary Poppins
Lots of musicals
Poseidon Adventure

A lot of it is comfort watching - familiar and cozy. Even though you know what's going to happen.

boobot1 · 11/03/2024 07:33

Stargate, the knowing, the last mimzy, the bishops wife and any bette davis film

Nannyfannybanny · 11/03/2024 08:50

Any of the Jason Bourne. I find The Shawshank Redemption depressing and upsetting DH watched it the other day, same with The Green Mile.

Marchintospring · 11/03/2024 15:42

I can watch The Breakup a million times too. It’s like a sad song that’s very relatable - every doomed relationship has “the lemons” in it.. Also for Jennifer Anniston and that Prada dress.

CloudySheep · 11/03/2024 15:48

Almost any 90s or 00s rom-com. I won't actively seek them out on Netflix or Prime but I always stop if they're on 🤷🏻‍♀️

poppypetal · 11/03/2024 15:48

Shirley Valentine, it's an oldie but a goodie!

ohnoisaid2much · 11/03/2024 15:53

Grease
