Which film will you sit and watch when you find it whilst flicking through channels, even though you've seen it a hundred times?

Mine is The Talented Mr Ripley - I love it.

Hate To think how many late nights I've had due to that film.

Anyone else do this?

Oh yes Blades of Glory!
And yes to Kill Bill, either one but especially Part 2.

Abouttimeforanamechange · 10/03/2024 20:27

Brief Encounter

And

Casablanca
The Third Man

Watched two out of three of those over Christmas,

Justleaveitblankthen · 10/03/2024 20:27

Well, I would never do that😂
It would have to be watched from the start including the film production logo, Tri star being my favourite 🍿

But my DS will watch any James Bond from any point anywhere and DP any Western or Action at any point 🥱

Private Benjamin and Overboard - actually, any Goldie Hawn film.

Absolutely The Talented Mr Ripley. Great plot, beautiful actors and locations.

A Christmas Carol. Any of them.

Groundhog Day

Officer and A Gentleman. It’s a little slice of the 80’s

The Ring. Either version . Still scary although I’ve seen it one billion times.

Oh I have loads but last night it was django unchained. Love that film

GoodOldEmmaNess · 10/03/2024 20:40

The film I always seem to stumble on accidentally when channel hopping is Master and Commander. Huge fun.
I have seen it several times but never, I think, from the start to the end. Sometimes I catch the second half, other times the first. It is like the old days at the pictures when they would play and then replay the same feature film, so people would enter the cinema at any time and stay until the film got back to the point at which they had entered.

I must have watched Trading Places dozens of times before it got cancelled by the humorless woke brigade. A fantastic film with a superb ensemble cast, all on top form.

Given that it had been repeated on multiple channels on & around February 2nd every year for the last 30 years, you probably are.
