No Budget bounce then... I mean, they could offer free unicorns at this point and have people point out that they aren't legal tender and you can't buy food with one.

Besides all the unicorns starved to death on the sunny Brexit uplands.

These are unthinkably bad figures. Let's say the Conservatives don't do that badly. But I do wonder what will be left, and if they don't get the implication of this, which is clearly that they need a central vote, it could get worse.

Imagine who is their next leader. More right wing and it's a ticket to oblivion. It's lack of moderation that's brought them to this nadir.

And even how the hell are they going to find the money to feed them? Unicorn’s must eat a shedload of food.

Kemi is busy stirring the culture wars.

She has run out of road just like the rest. However her PR is definitely superior

I love the way she’s blaming Starmer. He wasn’t even there. Nor was she.

IClaudine · 15/03/2024 16:57

I think she must be referring to this from our favourite lettuce. Presumably the ferrets made them run out of time:

bombastix · 15/03/2024 17:00

Bah what humbug. She could have picked up that bill as equalities minister and it would not have had any problems at all.

Much overrated imo but a fresh twist on your average Tory

AdamRyan · 15/03/2024 17:08

I reckon Truss put the bill forward for exactly that reason actually. I wondered why the heck she was bothering but that makes perfect sense. I'll await post raising the fact that "Labour would rather discuss ferrets than womens rights" cropping up with tedious regularity from now on.
🙄

There's already a thread. I just threw a small verbal grenade into it.

I can't for the life of me think why Truss didn't get all of this sorted when she was Prime Minister.

Season 9 Nbc GIF by The Office

Where have you been hiding? She was Thwarted By The Deep State obviously. We need a bigger bazooka

Notonthestairs · 15/03/2024 17:32

Is she not being thwarted by the deep state now?

Have the podcast listeners/Financial Times etc realised the errors of their ways and backed down?

Or has she just remembered she's paid to be an MP in Suffolk rather than a full time after dinner speaker for Republicans?

Norfolk, not Suffolk. She's my cousin's MP. I've got Mad Hatt Hancock.

I've already been spammed twice by leaflets for Nick Timothy, who's standing in my constituency for the Tories. The branding is... interesting. Not much mention of the 'C' word. It's heartening to see that they're worried they might not hold West Suffolk.

Oh yes, of course Suffolk! 😁

Says a lot that they aren't keen to mention the name of their political party after 14 years in power.

Notonthestairs · 15/03/2024 17:44

Argh. I meant of course Norfolk. Haven't been down the pub yet, honest.

DuncinToffee · 15/03/2024 18:00

Those threads make me laugh when they are celebrating the voting going their way but the same posters also quickly dismiss the national polls
