What's your best "whole" peanut butter?

So the stuff that's just nuts, and maybe a hint of salt.

Mine is Pic's. But it's EXPENSIVE. as it's from NZ. Any other choices you'd recommend?

Ideally high-oleic if possible.

Meridian does a richer roast version which is very special.

Shall try this too

I was spending ££££ on meridians and whole foods but found sainsburys 100% is pure peanuts and cheap too

timtam23 · 09/03/2024 21:28

Meridian, or the Aldi 100% peanuts one. Used to buy Whole Earth but it contains palm oil.

They have Pic's in Tesco??

Never seen it there 😞

Edited

Perhaps not any more... was a few years ago that I saw it, and I only bought it a couple of times as so expensive. The big tubs of Aldi stuff for me usually.

HGP · 09/03/2024 22:29

Ooh where are you buying Pic’s? My local Tesco no longer stock it (sob)

BringMeSunshineAllDayLong · 09/03/2024 22:31

None because peanut butter is the devil's food and tastes like hell. 😁

TheTwirlyPoos · 09/03/2024 22:33

Bulk from Amazon. Nothing but peanuts.

Proper Nutty here. Comes in large tins and I like their Smunchy (between smooth and crunchy). Peanuts only.

The M&S own brand one says it’s high oleic, no palm oil and nothing but peanuts. I haven’t tried it but gets good reviews on Ocado.

editing to clarify I mean the 100% peanut one from M&S, not their other own brand ones

Scarlettpixie · 10/03/2024 09:50

I love Nuts about nature 100% peanut butter which I get from Tesco.

Chitterchatterchoo · 10/03/2024 11:07

Another one for Manilife - big tubs Margo ally better value.

My 8 year old loves it so much he offered to have it as a birthday present instead of having to revert to whole earth 😂

Pp mentioned Skippy. It's the devil's work that I can't help but eat by the spoonful. I think it's full of sugar & palm oil. So I just don't buy it (they have it in Costco in huge jars). I love Pip & Nut but unfortunately the sweet & salty one which I don't imagine is the healthiest. I alternate with the regular one. I also liked Aldi. I got one from Tesco that was really cheap & only had peanuts in it but it dried my mouth out, it was awful!

Cookerhood · 10/03/2024 11:16

I think it was the Nuts about Nature one.

These guys are very good, but not cheap. Autistic and underweight DC insists on it after discovering it at a farmers market so we order in bulk every few months and are planning to reuse the Kilner jars to make sauerkraut. Worth a try if you're near a shop that stocks it. Website drives me mad because I can't get the "give me your email address" pop up to go away but that might just be a Safari thing.

Anyone notice Meridian and Aldi peanut butter has become very oily and gloopy, before it was thick and peanutty?

chrispychilli · 12/03/2024 08:18

Thanks @Tattyhabits - I'll give it a go
