Have people finally got wise about MLM schemes?

I just realised the SM I’m on aren’t full of Younique, Forever Living etc. There’s also not the threads on here about being hounded by friends who are constantly trying to flog stuff and sign them up. Have the documentaries and articles about it burst the bubble or is it just the people I know that are no longer part of any. I was thinking how lovely it is to not have catalogues posted through my door or to be collared by people inviting me to grim evenings etc.

An acquaintance has gone VERY heavily into the independent travel agent one lately but I see much less of the others in my circle these days

Is Tropic really as bad as the other MLMs? I do buy some of it from a friend but never thought she was in a chain as such, which is what I thought MLMs were.

Yes it is. They constantly try to recruit new consultants and there's an up line so the person who recruits you to their team earns commission from you.

A former colleague recently posted "before and after" photos for a weight-loss programme she was trying to flog. Except the photos had been very obviously and very poorly manipulated to exaggerate her size change. It was so embarrassing 😳 Glad I don't see her regularly IRL now, I really wouldn't know what to say...
