What chores have you done today?

I’ve put the dishwasher on and made my bed. Put some clothes in the washing machine ready to wash later. That’s it! I’m really bored so if I was in the mood I could get a few more things done but I have no inclination at the moment. What have you done so far today?

Hoovered whole house
Dusted living room (kids helped there)
Given kitchen, toilet and bathroom quick wipe over

I'd usually spread this over the weekend but am busy tomorrow.

Apart from seeing to the animals, nothing.

I went to work for a couple of hours first thing. Got back about an hour ago and have wiped round the kitchen, swept the floor and put some washing on. Now a man has come to clean my oven (first time I’ve ever outsourced this job) and I’m so embarrassed that I’ve gone upstairs to hide 😂 While I’m up here, I’m going to change my bedding, hoover bedroom and hall, quick bathroom clean and then sweep the stairs. That’ll probably be it for today.

For context I’m a teacher and we had ofsted this week so the house was very neglected. Normally I’d do jobs each day over the week So far today: cleaned kitchen & bathrooms, tidied hall way, hoovered living room & upstairs and downstairs hallways. Put washing in tumble dryer. Just about to tidy & hoover bedrooms.

Made all the beds. Tidied kids rooms. Put a load in the washing machine then hung it out. I've done the dishes twice after making us all breakfast and lunch. I've done the daily ironing. I've picked up the daily dog poos in the garden. I've given the chickens a little clean and given them food and water. I've yet to hoover.

Taken dc to swimming lessons.
Returned items to two shops.
Did a medium sized supermarket shop.
Went to florist for Mother's Day present.
Two loads of washing so far.
Cleaned out washing line of winter gunk and then hung out first load.
A large pile of washing up.
Cleaned the kitchen- surface clean.

By the end of the day I will have also:
Dusted and hovered the living room and hallway
Cleaned the downstairs toilet
Tidied the living room
Made lunch and dinner.

I am slightly winning today. A very rare Saturday for me

I have put freshly washed bedding on.

Cleaned two bathrooms.

Got school uniform folded out ready for Monday in kids rooms.

Washing on the line.

More washing on the go.

Prepped dinner.

Hoovered stairs.

Dusted.

Put washing away.

Generally tidied.

I have been up since 7.30am and am now exhausted. I couldn't (and do not) do this everyday!

Dishes, general wipe down and clean of kitchen, washing, drying and putting away clothes. General tidying round after the kids and their mess but I'll do most of that when they are in bed.

Cleaned the shower, put some washing in, put it on the airer, put the other washing away, washed the dishes, now sat down thinking about what to have for lunch 🤔

Dishwasher, recycling sort and clean, breakfast for everyone, online order (collect later) as no food, lunch, changed childrens beds and washed and dried sheets, put away approx 1000 items of dry clothes from the week! Solo piloting 1 and 4 year old today due to man flu.

off to get Mother’s Day flowers for my mum in a min if I can find some at this late hour 😆 plus need a good tidy and hoover later.

I've washed up, cleaned the bathroom , hung washing out and been shopping.

Lunch

Now having a cuppa and sitting on my arse before tackling the next lot of chores.

Loaded and unloaded the dishwasher, did a load of washing, put away the clean clothes. Cleaned the bathroom's, hoovered downstairs, made beds. Did lunch for DC2 and tided up the kitchen. Didn’t really have much to do as did our deep house clean Thursday.

I wonder if there’s an equivalent forum anywhere with blokes listing out their Saturday chores….

I'm fascinated by 'daily ironing' ! 😂

Hoovered.
Washed the dishes (twice).
Fed the animals (twice).
Sorted the litter trays.
Made the bed.

I try and get everything done on a Friday afternoon so I only have to do the essentials on weekends.

Making the most of the sun so nothing has been done in the house.

So far I have taken the kids to various clubs, mowed front and back lawns, re- organised the greenhouse and planted a few seeds. Next job is to clean out the chicken coop and then maybe pop out to the garden centre.

Put a wash on, cleared the fridge out, been to aldi, put it away, took the rubbish out, emptied the dishwasher and put more dishes in. Barely touched the sides of what needs doing

Cleaned the house top to bottom yesterday as we had visitors and we are having drinks with the neighbours later where we are looking at each others home improvement as we had the same builders

So today I'm lolloping about with the papers in my very tidy house

I did wash up and have done some laundry but I love laundry so would not call that a chore

Baked a Victoria sponge for Mother's Day

Still need to clean the toilets and hoover the whole house.

Spooky, almost the same, except ironing, I dont iron anything. We are having chicken rogan josh. What's your curry?
