How much roughy would a plasterer charge per day

We have a workman coming to do 4 days of plastering. What would you expect to pay per day

Our recent plastering worked out at about £300/day per plasterer inc materials. They quoted for the job but it broke down to that roughly.

£1300 for entrance hall (3.5m2) stairs and upstairs landing (4 bed house). Includes entrance hall ceiling. Took 1 guy 4 days. Works out at £325 per day inclusive of materials. He did an awesome job so happy to pay that. Have paid less for a crap job before and wasn't willing to risk that again.

Why are you letting them start work without actually knowing how much it will cost??? That’s insane!
