What ambitions task has your child/ren set you this year for world book day?

DD has asked to be the tail of the whale 👍 thank you Julia Donaldson. A large bit of grey felt should suffice?

Sophie, from the tiger who came to tea. So once again I'm painting chequers onto leggings (she out grew the tights I painted two years ago).

Aww that’s such a good one! I’ll save that idea for next year!

I’d love my girl to dress up in something that’s a bit more creative, perhaps something that gives off some ‘female empowerment’ vibes. Instead, she has chosen the biggest, most awkward, dinosaur costume she could find on Amazon, based on “The dinosaur that pooped a….” 😒

My daughter attends Riding for the Disabled classes, she recently read Ellie and the Pony Camp Mystery which features a disabled rider so she's going as one of the girls from that in her riding gear! Nice and simple for me!

DD used to be very easy to please and was happy to go in a Sainsbo's Elsa outfit or similar but this year wanted to be school Matilda (new film) which cost me an arm and a leg.

And I've no qualms about buying outfits that are based on films, I'm very working class 😁
