Famous people from your local area

Just that really, name some famous people from your local area (sorry if it’s already been down before)

I’ll go first… Martin Compston is from the same town as us.

She may well have lived in both those places but I knew her at school and she was friends with my brother for a few years. She used to come to our house. Her younger brother went out with my friend. So she definitely spent a good number of years in my home town. But thanks for correcting me.Confused

I googled the question and I have discovered that she lived in Huddersfield between the ages of 5 and 17. My bad.

From where I am now we have Marc Almond and Lee Mack is fairly local.

My home town has Richard Cole, Hugh Dennis and some younger comedian whose name partially escapes me...Acaster? 🤷‍♀️
